About Institute of Land Surface System
and Sustainable Development
作为地球表层最复杂、最重要、受人类活动影响最大的子系统，陆地表层系统研究强调自然过程与人文过程的有机结合，是地理科学发展的核心和前沿领域。为了推动地理学综合研究，应对全球环境变化与可持续发展的挑战，北京师范大学地理科学学部于2016年12月6日创建了陆地表层系统科学与可持续发展研究院，开展陆地表层系统的综合研究。陆地表层系统科学与可持续发展研究院旨在成为我国开展陆地表层系统综合研究的中坚力量。
To study the complex interaction between nature and humanity, The Faculty of Geography, Beijing Normal University (which has won A plus (top level) in the fourth round of national discipline evaluation among universities in China and ranked 51-100 in QS World University Rankings by Subject in 2018) founded the Institute of Land Surface System and Sustainable Development, dedicated to become the backbone of comprehensive research on land surface system in China. The institute promotes comprehensive geographical research to meet the challenges from global environmental change and sustainable development.
陆地表层系统科学与可持续发展研究院(陆发院)目前设有两个科研团队：人地系统耦合研究团队和陆表水文研究团队。其中，人地系统耦合研究团队以人地系统研究为核心，以景观格局、生态过程、生态系统服务与可持续性为纽带，耦合陆地表层系统的自然过程与人文过程，开展不同尺度的监测调查、模型模拟、情景分析和优化调控，推动地理科学研究范式从格局与过程耦合，向复杂环境系统模拟预测转变。陆表水文研究团队以陆表水文过程研究为核心，以陆面水文过程模型与全球/区域天气、气候模式为平台，发挥多学科交叉融合的优势，侧重研究不同时空尺度的水循环、能量循环的模拟和预测的方法与理论，旨在揭示水和能量循环过程、全球气候变化、人类活动三方面之间的耦合机制，为解决陆地表层系统中的水问题、实现人水和谐的可持续发展，提供科学依据和决策支撑。目前研究院拥有教师17人，其中，中国科学院院士1人、优秀青年基金获得者2人、万人计划青年拔尖人才1人、外籍客座教授2人（其中南非皇家科学院院士1人）。因工作需要，陆发院拟招聘博士后研究人员6-8名。
The Institute currently has two research teams focusing on Coupling Human and Nature System and Land Surface Hydrology. At present, there are 17 faculty members in the Institute, including one academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, two awardees of National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, one awardee of Government Ten Thousand Talents Program, one academician of Academy of Science of South Africa (Guest Professor). Our institute is now seeking talented, passionate and dedicated postdoctoral fellows from home and abroad.

博士后招收类别
1. 励耘博士后：为我校重点打造的高端博士后项目，招收国外（境外）顶尖大学一流学科或在国内双一流建设学校的A+学科及相当水平的科研机构获得博士学位且具有良好的思想品德、创新能力的优秀毕业生。经费由学校资助。
2. A类博士后：为符合地理科学学部进站遴选指标评估要求，且承诺达到地理科学学部出站考核评估要求者。A类博士后在站期间薪酬福利费用由学校和地理科学学部双方共同承担。其中，地理科学学部自筹部分的费用由地理科学学部与陆发院合作导师协商承担。
Category-A postdocs: Applicants should qualify for admission into the postdoctoral station of Institute of Faculty of Geographical Science and pledge to meet the evaluation criteria for leaving the station. The fellowships are jointly funded by BNU and Faculty of Geographical Science.
3. B类博士后：需满足国家关于博士后遴选的基本要求，由地理科学学部和陆发院合作导师根据重大教学科研平台和科研项目建设等需求自筹经费资助。
Category-B postdocs: Applicants should meet the basic requirements for postdoctoral fellows in China. The fellowships are jointly funded by Faculty of Geographical Science and the advisor based on the needs of research projects.
4. 国家项目博士后：由国家博士后专项经费和学校共同资助，入选项目类型包括国家博士后创新人才支持计划、国际交流计划引进项目、国际交流计划派出项目、香江学者计划、澳门青年学者计划、中德博士后交流项目等国家统一设置的各类博士后人才项目。
National program postdocs: The fellowships are jointly funded by BNU and national special funds for postdoctoral fellows, such as the National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents, Postdoctoral International Exchange Program, Postdoctoral International Exchange Fellowship Program, Hong Kong Scholars Program, Macau Young Scholars Program, and China-Germany Postdoctoral Exchange Program.
5.珠海校区工作博士后：依托北京校区地理科学学部博士后流动站，面向海内外招收，并派往珠海校区全职开展研究工作。
Zhuhai Campus postdocs: Backed by the postdoctoral stations (level-1disciplines) at Beijing Campus, the full-time postdoctoral positions available for relevant level-2 disciplines at Zhuhai Campus are open to applicants from all over the world.

2.政治立场坚定，身心健康，年龄在35周岁以下、获得博士学位不超过三年、进校后须全职在北京师范大学工作。
Applicants should be in good physical and mental health and under the age of 35, have held doctorates for less than 3 years, and be able to devote full-time effort to the research programs at BNU.
3. 具有自然地理学、景观生态、生态学、水文学、气候变化、地理信息系统、遥感等相关学科背景；具有生态系统服务、生态水文、土地退化、可持续发展、地理与生态系统模型等研究经历者优先。
A PhD degree in physical geography, landscape ecology, ecology, hydrology, climate change, geographic information system, remote sensing or a related field is required. Prior experience in ecosystem services, eco-hydrology, land degradation, sustainable development, geography and ecosystem modeling is preferred.
4. 以第一作者或通讯作者发表JCR-Q1区期刊论文1篇，或JCR-Q2区期刊论文两篇（注：非中科院分区），或其它SCI期刊论文至少3篇。
Applicants should meet one of the following requirements on academic publishing:
a. have published 1 paper in a journal in JCR-Zone Q1;
b. have published 2 papers in journals in JCR-Zone Q2;
c. have published 3 papers in journals in JCR-Zone Q3 or Zone Q4.
(Note: JCR is the abbreviation for Journal Citation Reports, which is released by Clarivate Analytics. All the above required publications should be achieved by the applicants as first author or corresponding author).
薪酬待遇
Remuneration and Benefits
1. 励耘博士后年薪30万元（税前）。学校为励耘博士后提供租房补贴5万元/年，并可根据房源情况以市场价租住博士后公寓。正常在站期间可为其符合条件的子女办理在北京师范大学实验幼儿园新校区幼儿园（沙河）或北京师范大学昌平附属学校小学部（沙河）入学（园）。
Liyun postdocs: An annual salary of RMB300,000 (pretax). BNU provides each Liyun postdoc with a rent subsidy of RMB 50,000/year for them to rent apartments based on the availability and market price. The successful candidates can register their children for Beijing Normal University Kindergarten New Campus Branch (Shahe) or Changping School Affiliated to Beijing Normal University (Shahe) during their stay at BNU.
Category-A postdocs: An annual salary of RMB 180,000 (pretax).
Category-B postdocs: The successful candidates can discuss with the potential mentor and Faculty of Geographical Science about the salary and then keep BNU informed.
National program postdocs: For each successful candidate who makes it to the Postdoctoral International Exchange Program and the National Postdoctoral Program forInnovative Talents, the pretax annual salary rises to RMB350,000, in additionto a rent subsidy of RMB50,000/year for them to rent apartments based on the availability and market price. The successful candidates can register theirchildren for Beijing Normal University Kindergarten New Campus Branch (Shahe) or Changping School Affiliated to Beijing Normal University (Shahe) duringtheir stay at BNU. For those who are selected into other national programs, the remuneration and benefits will depend on the type of programs and relevantpolicies.
ZhuhaiCampus postdocs:
（1）第一类：
在国（境）外顶尖大学一流学科或在国内双一流建设学校的A+学科及相当水平的科研机构获得博士学位且具有良好的思想品德、创新能力、突出成果的优秀毕业生；或为入选国家博士后创新人才支持计划或者博士后国际交流计划引进项目或同水平的人员。此类博士后的薪酬为40万元/年（税前）。
CategoryI:
Theannual salary is RMB 400,000 (pretax) for exceptional candidates with good moral character, strong innovation capabilities, and PhD degrees in first-class disciplines at top overseas universities, in Grade A+ disciplines of Chinese universities in the “Double First-class” initiative, or from equivalent research institutes; or those who make it to the National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents, Postdoctoral International Exchange Program, or equivalent programs.
符合北京校区现有A类博士后进站标准，且承诺达到地理科学学部考核评估要求的博士后其薪酬为30万元/年（税前）。
CategoryII:
Foreach successful candidate who qualifies for Category-A postdoc admission criteria of Beijing Campus and pledges to meet the host’s evaluation criteriafor leaving the station, the annual salary is RMB 300,000 (pretax).
（3）在站期间，珠海校区提供每人5万元的科研启动费。
Each successful candidate is entitled to aresearch start-up fund of RMB 50,000.
