Li Yinuo and his passion for the sport of curling
Editor’s note
One month countdown to Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic!
Li Yinuo is a sophomore in Xingjian College at Tsinghua and the president of the Tsinghua Student Curling Association. Before coming to Tsinghua, he had never tried curling, but after playing it once, he was fascinated by this amazing sport.
This is a day in his life at Tsinghua.
“The biggest difference between high school and college is that we have to motivate ourselves and try to find the field we truly love.”
Through playing curling, Li Yinuo has competed with other teams, and more importantly, himself. If coming to college was his first time living independently, curling has helped him discover how to live happily.
“No sports, No Tsinghua”
After spending time researching and discussing with professors in the lab, now he’s heading to the ice rink, preparing for games against other universities.
“Curling competitions are more than testing the accuracy of the player, it is also expected to analyze and discuss strategies as a team.”
The skip, the pitcher, and the sweepers must work together with a unified strategy in order to get the stone to land on target.
“We grew up with our teammates and opponents. We love curling, love our youth time, love all those fighting days!”
His passion for curling will never stop. Here comes the end of his day at Tsinghua.
The Beijing Winter Olympic Games are just around the corner.
He is eager to watch the Games in person. Even if you are new and unfamiliar with the sports, you can find your own ways to enjoy the ice rink, just like Yinuo has.
