Embracing the vibrant new beginnings

"Hello, new comrades!" On September 1, Tsinghua University welcomed the incoming graduate students. With youthful faces exuding boundless energy and aspirations, these ambitious young minds are about to embark on a journey as Tsinghua's own, bearing the mantle of honor and duty, ready to script a new chapter on this campus canvas.

From the sports and games area to the personalized welcome water bottles, and the aspirations wall to the creative selfie spots at the central new student hub in front of the Student Service Center (Building C), the University has prepared a seamless and enriching welcoming events for its newcomers.

These initiatives effectively dispel any sense of unfamiliarity, swiftly integrating these fresh faces into the campus tapestry. The theme of this year's orientation, "Setting Sail in the Clear Spring, Paddling with Vigor", allows new students to embrace the campus culture through fun activities like cycling and basketball, embodying the spirit of "No Sports, No Tsinghua".

As they unbox the "New Student Welcome Kit", excitement and delight light up their faces—custom canvas bags containing card holders, stickers for "100 Wonderful Things to Do at Tsinghua", and a letter addressed to the new graduate students. Holding this "family letter" in their hands, the faculty's fervent anticipation leaps off the page: a grand stage for showcasing talents stretches ahead.

Here, the future brims with brightness, as they journey through the cosmos, chasing dreams with youthful determination.

The welcome hub also boasts a thematic educational zone, where students can tear off stickers to receive blessings and luck on their academic journey. "Hello, fellow student, let me assist you." The University has set up guidance stations at transportation hubs and entrances, even near the dormitories, ensuring smooth and efficient registration by providing guidance and aid for luggage transport. Each department has thoughtfully arranged its own welcome spots, allowing the newcomers to feel at "home" as soon as they step onto the campus.

With hearts set on aspirations and strides aligned toward a promising future, these students eagerly await the days to come. Riding the springtime breeze, they unleash their dreams into the open sky.

The newcomers, hailing from all corners of the world, convenes in the embrace of Tsinghua's campus. Together, they embark on a journey to build dreams and shoulder the responsibilities of the era, leaving imprints of indomitable spirit and noble character.
