Scholars, administrators, and teachers are kindly encouraged to contribute to the conference. Examples of topic areas include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Dual language education policies regarding programs, use of target language (e.g., translate languaging), implementation of these policies, and their impact on immersion programs.

  2. Stakeholders’ identities concerning the perspectives, values, and commitments of program administrators, teachers, students, and parents.

  3. Best classroom practices addressing student assessment, activity design, classroom management, culture teaching, community engagement, instructional strategies including project-based instruction, task-based language teaching, content-based instruction, performance-based language learning, proficiency-based language learning, etc.

  4. Professional development involving supporting pre-service teachers, facilitating in-service teachers in their professional learning and growth in different areas such as curriculum design, classroom instruction, assessment design, and delivery, etc.

  5. Development and maintenance of dual language or immersion programs (e.g., strategies for starting and sustaining programs, current situations, future trends, recruitment of teachers, parental involvement, etc.)

  6. Use of technologies to implement distant Chinese language teaching (e.g., affordances and/or challenges, trends, tips, etc.)
