Beijing Issues Orange Alert for Smog... Again

After experiencing one of the least polluted winters in years, the pollution level has been pretty bad during the past month. The Beijing environmental protection bureau has now issued the third smog alert of 2018 and the second orange alert this month, Reuters reports.

The latest bout of pollution will hover over the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from Monday until Wednesday.

An orange alert is the second-highest warning in China's four-tier system. Orange alerts are issued when the AQI is expected to exceed 200 for three consecutive days, with one of those days surpassing 300.

Time to bust out those masks... again.
