The seventh China Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo opened in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, on Aug 25.

8月25日，第七届中国非物质文化遗产博览会在济南开幕。

With the theme "connect modern life, shine with glamour", the expo showcases 284 intangible cultural heritage items highlighting China's achievements in protecting intangible cultural heritage since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012.

本届博览会以“连接现代生活 绽放迷人光彩”为主题，吸引284个非物质文化遗产项目参展，充分展示了党的十八大以来全国非遗保护成果。

济南起步区累计签约高端优质项目132个，

总投资3161亿元

Jinan Start-up Area signs 132 high-end projects with $45.8b investment

The Jinan Start-up Area for Growth Drivers Transformation has seen robust development as it has signed agreements on 132 high-end projects, with an investment totaling 316.1 billion yuan ($45.8 billion), since it was approved by the State Council in April 2021.

自2021年4月获批建设以来，济南新旧动能转换起步区发展势头强劲，截至目前累计签约高端优质项目132个，总投资3161亿元。

济南露营季让旅游市场旺起来

Jinan's camping festival boosts tourism

Various activities, such as camping festivals, night markets, and cultural events, have been launched in Jinan to attract visitors and boost the local economy.

2022济南露营季自6月17日启动以来，相继推出露营体验、夜市、文艺演出等一系列丰富多彩的活动，吸引了大批游客，加快恢复全市旅游市场供需两旺的局面。

As of Aug 27, more than 500 themed activities have been organized in the city's 25 camping sites over the past 72 days, which has attracted around 631,500 people, generating over 120 million yuan ($17.34 million) in consumption revenue.

截至8月27日，济南露营季已持续开展了72天，25家精致露营地累计组织开展500多场主题活动，吸引63.15万人次参与，直接拉动消费超过1.2亿元。

五亿年前，有翩翩燕子飞

Trilobite fossils get new life in Jinan

Trilobite fossils found in Jinan's Laiwu district are precious for paleontology studies. They have been called "swallow stones", as the trilobites were fossilized in the shape of flying swallows, with the stones also serving as unique handicraft raw materials.

在济南莱芜山区有着大量的三叶虫化石，因其形状姿态像飞翔的燕子，人们将这种石头称为“燕子石”。燕子石不但是研究古生物学的珍贵资料，也是一种独特的观赏石和工艺原料。
