一、教学目标
能够借助录音、图片、文字及教师的讲解,读懂本课的小故事,并尝试在教师指导下表演故事。
二、教学建议
1. 热身活动
(1) 欣赏歌曲:Jingle Bells。
(2) Guessing game:借助有关圣诞节物品的线条图,猜名称,复习本单元词汇。
(3) 教师可出示准备好的图片或实物并提问:I have some presents for you. What present would you like?/Which one do you like?
Tip:教师准备的图片应包括故事中的所有物品,但可以在此基础上补充一些。
2. 呈现故事
(1) 根据问题,观察图片,预测故事。参考问题如下:
图 1:What festival is it?How do you know that?
图 2:ho‘s he?What’s in the bag?What is he going to do?
(2) 让学生看教材浏览故事,初步感知故事大意。3. 图片环游,深入理解故事
教师述故事并借助问题引导学生继续深入观察图片,加深对故事的理解。参考问题如下:
图 1:What festival is it?
图 2:Who‘s he?What is Father Christmas going to do?
图 3:Father Christmas says to the girl, “Here’s a present for you.” What present is it?
How does the girl feel?What does she say to Father Christmas?
图 4:Father Christmas says to the boy, “Here‘s a present for you.” What present is it?
How does the boy feel?What does he say to Father Christmas?
图 5:Father Christmas says to the second boy, “Here’s a present for you.” What present is it?
How does the boy feel?What does he say to Father Christmas?
图 6:Is it still evening?Father Christmas says to the third boy, “Here‘s a present for you.” What present is it?How does the boy feel?What does he say to Father Christmas?
图 7:Father Christmas goes home in the morning. He says “Merry Christmas!” to himself.
图 8:He goes to bed and says “Happy New Year.”
4. 听录音,跟读故事
(1) 听录音,再次感知故事内容。
(2) 再听录音,跟录音指读文字。
(3) 逐图播放故事录音,让学生看图跟读句子,仔细模仿录音的语音语调,读出人物的语气以增加朗读的趣味性。
(4) 学生思考问题,体会情感。
参考问题:How does Father Christmas feel at last?What do you think of him?Why?
5. 表演故事
(1) 教师带领学生尝试分角色表演故事。由教师扮演圣诞老人,请一名学生扮演图3女孩,请一名学生扮演图4男孩。其他学生共同扮演余下的角色。
(3) 在以上活动的基础上,教师请学生分组表演故事。
(4) 请几组学生到讲台前展示。教师要引导其他学生认真观看,并对展示的同学予以鼓励性评价,教师也要表扬认真观看的学生。
备选活动
看图片,拓展故事内容
(1) 教师可出示故事中的一幅挂图,如图3,让学生根据情境说出圣诞老人和孩子的对话。
(2) 利用热身活动的词汇进行替换。如图3,圣诞老人的话可替换为:Here’s a doll for you.
(3) 小组合作进行内容替换,创编新的片段,如让圣诞老人给更多孩子送礼物。甚至可以改编结尾,增加某个孩子给圣诞老人送礼物的情节。
