John S. Ji, Sc.D.

昆山杜克大学iMEP项目副主任；

昆山杜克大学环境健康科学助理教授

哈佛大学博士，环境健康学家，专注环境人口健康科学，神经科学，流行病学，职业健康，专注于环境与人口健康的关系问题。

Led by Prof. John Ji, our research group is working on the intersection of environment and population health using data-driven approach and advanced epidemiological design. We have a broad interest in environmental determinants of longevity, in particular we are keen on using novel biomarkers to predict health.

We are hiring a research analyst and student interns to work at Duke Kunshan University in Kunshan, China. The position of research analyst will be a two-year commitment, and student interns will ideally be working for at least for a semester.

岗位介绍

Research Analyst

Essential Duties

• Leading in developing research studies that address important issues in population-based environmental health, and promoting the progress of projects;

• Conducting statistical analysis for the research projects;

• Drafting manuscripts for peer-reviewed journal submission, and making public presentations to disseminate the key findings;

• Assisting in grant proposal submissions;

• Coordinating within the research group;

• Other administrative tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• With undergraduate or graduate training in environmental science, exposure science, environmental health, epidemiology, occupational health, or other related fields with a strong quantitative focus;

• Experience with applied biostatistics, and statistical programming (including SAS, STATA, or R), especially in analysis of large-scale cohort, case-control, and cross-sectional population health data;

• Strong writing and communication skills in English;

• Goal-oriented team player with excellent organizational skill；

• The position of research analyst will be a two-year commitment.

Student Intern

Essential Duties

• Assisting in promoting the progress of research projects, including data collection, and statistical analysis. Proposing creative ideas and leading the projects are desirable;

• Involving in drafting manuscripts for peer-reviewed journal submission, and making public presentations to disseminate the key findings;

• Other administrative tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Junior or senior undergraduates majored in environmental science, exposure science, environmental health, epidemiology, occupational health, or other related fields;

• Experience with applied biostatistics, and statistical programming (including SAS, STATA, or R);

• Strong writing and communication skills in English;

• Student interns will ideally be working for at least for a semester.
