当年抵制俄货，现在看俄国人还很亲

时至今日，我们的很多国人却连如此清晰、简单的历史问题都看不明白，这不能不让人感到遗憾和费解。

一谈抵制某货，国人首先想到日货。这很好理解，咱们跟日本有国恨家仇，爱国心切者都会使这招儿，更急眼的，直接往同胞头上抡U形钢锁。

也有抵制美货的，比如朱自清。毛泽东在《别了，司徒雷登》中写道：“朱自清一身重病，宁可饿死，不领美国的‘救济粮’。”这让后人觉得，朱自清是因抵制美国面粉而死，因为据说美国人支持蒋介石打内战。

当年学这篇课文时就觉得，朱先生别不吃饭，跟美国人较劲，干嘛冲面粉去啊？其实，朱自清有胃病，他是因为严重胃溃疡导致胃穿孔而死，与不领美国救济粮并无直接关系。

日货长期抵制，美货偶尔抵制，还有一国的货，我们也抵制过，那就是俄货。

1912年11月3日，沙俄政府与外蒙“独立”王公在圣彼得堡签订《俄蒙协约》，因为条约的一系列规定，外蒙成了俄国的附庸，中国从此开始失去外蒙。国际舆论认为，该条约“注定了蒙古最后被吞并的命运”。

沙俄和外蒙傀儡秘密捣鼓的时候，中国就注意到，中国驻俄公使曾向俄方指出：“这将标志着中国在外蒙一无所有，并完全放弃领士。”

可是这毫无用处，与树上的知了叫唤天太热一样，只是自说自话。

当生面粉蒸成熟馒头后，北洋政府急了，于11月7日发表声明，概不承认俄国与外蒙叛乱集团所订的任何条约。声明说：“中国万难承认协约，因蒙古为中国之一部分，凡有关蒙古之协约均须与中央政府，而不能同库伦缔结”，并强烈要求俄国“放弃俄蒙协约”。

可是，这同样是知了的叫声，只不过音调高了些而已，但是俄国仍不予理会。

中国民间愤怒了，在指责政府无能时，成立了”救蒙会”、“抵制团”等民间组织，抵制俄贷，不为俄人服务，并拒用俄币，等等，总之，能想到的办法都用上了。

抵制俄货，重点在东北，那时候国人家里有小轿车的不多，所以不必担心脑袋被车锁开瓢，但是铺子还是有，如果不识相继续卖毛子的货，柜台被砸的可能性完全存在。

可是，这还是没用。1913年11月5日，北洋政府与沙俄政府签署《中俄声明文件》，貌似各退一步，并于1915年6月7日签订《中俄蒙协约》，根据条约，外蒙古承认中国宗主权，中、俄承认外蒙古自治。从此，外蒙沦为沙俄势力范围。

到嘴的肥肉不能吐出来，即使这嘴从沙俄变成苏联，肉终究要吃。1921年，外蒙在苏联支持下独立。1924年，宣布废除君主立宪制，成立蒙古人民共和国。

当时，中国正值军阀混战，无暇他顾。另外，背后的运作者由沙俄换成更为强大的苏联，外蒙从中国分离出去已经无法阻挡。

值得注意的是，在实行社会主义的蒙古人民共和国成立之初，国际社会并未予以承认。在沙俄和苏联前赴后继，不遗余力将外蒙从中国撕出去的过程中，这大概是唯一令中国人感到欣慰的。

从蒙古外交关系列表可以看得很清楚，第一个同蒙古建交的是苏联，1921年11月5日。第二个是朝鲜，1948年10月15日。中国于1949年10月16日与蒙古建交。欧美发达国家大多是在60、70年代与蒙古建交，其中最晚的是美国，直到1987年1月27日才与蒙古建交。

这个时间对比令人感慨。苏联曾被我们吹嘘上天，朝鲜和我们有着“鲜血凝成的友谊”，可是在撕下外蒙这块“羊肉”的过程中，一个冠军，一个亚军，速度都贼快，而被很多中国人，包括现在的小粉红，痛恨到咬牙切齿的美国，却一直耗到80年代末才与蒙古建交，这个时间比中国自己都晚了38年。

俄罗斯是我们的邻国，中国人觉得这很正常。其实，中俄两国过去并不相邻，之所以后来相邻了，是因为沙俄“围棋”下得忒好。

17世纪，沙俄向东越过乌拉尔山，征服西伯利亚后，中俄成为邻国。自彼得一世开始，沙俄将扩张范围指向蒙古高原、黑龙江流域和中国西北地区。第一次鸦片战争后，清朝国力逐渐走向衰落，沙俄通过《瑷珲条约》、《中俄北京条约》等一系列不平等条约，割占了中国外东北和外西北154万平方公里的领土。

历史上，欧洲列强觊觎中国，但实际上侵占中国领土最多的就是俄国。可是很奇怪，中国人只在意识形态斗争最激烈的六七十年代，特别是苏联专家拍拍屁股走人留下我们自己刻苦自学后，切齿痛恨过苏修一段时间。等到后来关系恢复后，特别是有了几架可以示人的俄制军机后，许多国人对俄国的印象很快转好。

现在，当中国和美国发生碰撞时，有些人便转向俄罗斯寻找感觉，当俄罗斯有了某款“压过”美国的武器时，他们叫好；当俄罗斯总统普京对美国作出某个“强硬”决定，有用没用潇洒一把之后，他们爽得只喊：“牛逼！”。这种反应丝毫谈不上智慧，相反给人以滑稽的感觉。

还是在东北，1932年3月1日成立的伪满洲国又是一个例子。伪满成立后，立即向日、美、英、法、德、意、苏等17个国家发出通告，希望建立外交关系。日本率先承认，其他国家没有回应，美国更是通告世界各国，不要承认伪满洲国，强调，东三省的领土主权属于中华民国。美国此举令日本气急败坏。

后来，一些国家承认了伪满，主要是和日本结盟的意大利、德国以及他们操控的傀儡政权，以及萨尔瓦多、多米尼加这样不值一提的小国。然而，伪满也有“显赫”的邦交国，那就是20年前曾成功推动外蒙独立的苏联。

1941年4月13日，苏联和日本签订《日苏中立条约》，声明“苏联尊重满洲国的领土完整与神圣不可侵犯，日本保证尊重蒙古人民共和国的领土完整和不可侵犯”，正式承认了满洲国。条约签订两个月后，苏德战争爆发。

《日苏中立条约》的签订，客观上使苏联避免了在东西两面受到军事进攻的危险，但同时也使日本利用苏联的保证，放手扩大对中国的侵略。同时，由于苏联逐渐停止对华援助，中国的抗战变得更加艰难。直到珍珠港事件爆发，美国对日宣战并开始公开援华后，中国的物资援助严峻形势才得到缓解。

尽管苏联当时有难处，但是无论如何，当年承认伪满，在外交上认为东北不再属于中华民国，是苏联对华外交史上不可抹去的污点。

看看历史，丈量一下地图，某些人不觉得痛恨美国很无聊吗？不觉得为俄国的几件先进武器和普京的所谓“硬气”而笑，笑得很莫名其妙吗？

早在17世纪，英国十大杰出青年之首艾萨克·牛顿就破解宇宙奥秘，阐述了万有引力和三大运动定律，为现代工程学奠定了基础。可是，时至今日，我们的很多国人却连如此清晰、简单的历史问题都看不明白，这不能不让人感到遗憾和费解。

不过，有更令人费解的，在上面所述的这类人中，如果他们的儿子或女儿同时被俄罗斯大学和美国大学录取，你几乎可以断言，他们会毫无例外地让孩子奔赴美国。这样的指东打西，大概属于中华传统武术中最不容易失传的独门绝技吧。如此理解，应当不差。

They had arrived in San Francisco, where their ship was decommissioned, and Paul bet that he would find himself a wife within two weeks. He was a taut, tattooed engine mechanic, six feet tall, with a passing resemblance to James Dean. But it wasn’t his looks that got him a date with Clara Hagopian, a sweet-humored daughter of Armenian immigrants. It was the fact that he and his friends had a car, unlike the group she had originally planned to go out with that evening. Ten days later, in March 1946, Paul got engaged to Clara and won his wager. It would turn out to be a happy marriage, one that lasted until death parted them more than forty years later. Paul Reinhold Jobs had been raised on a dairy farm in Germantown, Wisconsin. Even though his father was an alcoholic and sometimes abusive, Paul ended up with a gentle and calm disposition under his leathery exterior. After dropping out of high school, he wandered through the Midwest picking up work as a mechanic until, at age nineteen, he joined the Coast Guard, even though he didn’t know how to swim. He was deployed on the USS General M. C. Meigs and spent much of the war ferrying troops to Italy for General Patton. His talent as a machinist and fireman earned him commendations, but he occasionally found himself in minor trouble and never rose above the rank of seaman. Clara was born in New Jersey, where her parents had landed after fleeing the Turks in Armenia, and they moved to the Mission District of San Francisco when she was a child. She had a secret that she rarely mentioned to anyone: She had been married before, but her husband had been killed in the war. So when she met Paul Jobs on that first date, she was primed to start a new life. Like many who lived through the war, they had experienced enough excitement that, when it was over, they desired simply to settle down, raise a family, and lead a less eventful life. They had little money, so they moved to Wisconsin and lived with Paul’s parents for a few years, then headed for Indiana, where he got a job as a machinist for International Harvester. His passion was tinkering with old cars, and he made money in his spare time buying, restoring, and selling them. Eventually he quit his day job to become a full-time used car salesman. Clara, however, loved San Francisco, and in 1952 she convinced her husband to move back there. They got an apartment in the Sunset District facing the Pacific, just south of Golden Gate Park, and he took a job working for a finance company as a “repo man,” picking the locks of cars whose owners hadn’t paid their loans and repossessing them. He also bought, repaired, and sold some of the cars, making a decent enough living in the process. There was, however, something missing in their lives. They wanted children, but Clara had suffered an ectopic pregnancy, in which the fertilized egg was implanted in a fallopian tube rather than the uterus, and she had been unable to have any. So by 1955, after nine years of marriage, they were looking to adopt a child. Like Paul Jobs, Joanne Schieble was from a rural Wisconsin family of German heritage. Her father, Arthur Schieble, had immigrated to the outskirts of Green Bay, where he and his wife owned a mink farm and dabbled successfully in various other businesses, including real estate and photoengraving. He was very strict, especially regarding his daughter’s relationships, and he had strongly disapproved of her first love, an artist who was not a Catholic. Thus it was no surprise that he threatened to cut Joanne off completely when, as a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin, she fell in love with Abdulfattah “John” Jandali, a Muslim teaching assistant from Syria. Jandali was the youngest of nine children in a prominent Syrian family. His father owned oil refineries and multiple other businesses, with large holdings in Damascus and Homs, and at one point pretty much controlled the price of wheat in the region. His mother, he later said, was a “traditional Muslim woman” who was a “conservative, obedient housewife.” Like the Schieble family, the Jandalis put a premium on education. Abdulfattah was sent to a Jesuit boarding school, even though he was Muslim, and he got an undergraduate degree at the American University in Beirut before entering the University of Wisconsin to pursue a doctoral degree in political science. In the summer of 1954, Joanne went with Abdulfattah to Syria. They spent two months in Homs, where she learned from his family to cook Syrian dishes. When they returned to Wisconsin she discovered that she was pregnant. They were both twenty-three, but they decided not to get married. Her father was dying at the time, and he had threatened to disown her if she wed Abdulfattah. Nor was abortion an easy option in a small Catholic community. So in early 1955, Joanne traveled to San Francisco, where she was taken into the care of a kindly doctor who sheltered unwed mothers, delivered their babies, and quietly arranged closed adoptions. Joanne had one requirement: Her child must be adopted by college graduates. So the doctor arranged for the baby to be placed with a lawyer and his wife. But when a boy was born—on February 24, 1955—the designated couple decided that they wanted a girl and backed out. Thus it was that the boy became the son not of a lawyer but of a high school dropout with a passion for mechanics and his salt-of-the-earth wife who was working as a bookkeeper.
