Guide to 3 New WeChat Functions!

WeChat is in its 10th year since 2011 and every day over one billion people log in to WeChat as it delivers seamless communications service. On June 16th, Tencent released WeChat’s latest version 7.0.13.

Download the latest version, WeChat v7.0.13 for Android and iOS now and try out all these 3 new features!

Change WeChat ID

Step 1:

Enter the “Me” session① and click your WeChat ID②

Step 2: 

If you find a “>” right beside your WeChat ID, then you can click it to continue. 

If not, you may update your WeChat in your AppStore or Google Play.

Step 3: 

Click “Change WeChat ID” to continue. 

Note that it can only be changed once per year.

Step 4: 

Enter your WeChat password to verify your identity.

Step 5: 

Enter your new WeChat ID. It must start with a letter and can use 6-20 digits, letters, “_”, “-“ or a combination of them. 

Note that after you change your WeChat ID, you can’t be found using your old WeChat ID.

Customize the Group Remark

Step 1: 

Enter any group and press the button of three dots in the upper right corner.

Step 2: Click the button of “Remark”.

Step 3: 

Enter the Group Name remark, and it will only be visible to you.

Nudge

Double-tap the profile photo in the chat box. A line of small words will appear on the screen "You nudged xxx".

This new feature can remind them without sending message. It's also practical in the group, which can reduce the spam.
