人生的指引
圣经是神的话，神对人的心思意念在圣经中显明，是神赐人最佳的礼物。
圣经都是神所默示的，于教训，督责，使人归正，教导人学义，都是有益的。 叫属神的人得以完全，预备行各样的善事。 （提摩太后书3章16-17节）
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.(2Ti 3:16-17)
由此看来，信徒有圣经的话作引导，无须随波逐流。圣经有以下的功用：
1、教训（teaching）——提供正确的教导，指示人正确的道路。
2、督责（rebuking）——使人知道罪恶的可怕，给与人严厉的警告。
3、改正（correcting）——使人归向正途，知罪悔改，不再犯罪。
4、训练（training）——训练人行走义路（合神心意的道路），助人建立良好的德行。
蒙福的途径
圣经劝勉我们把神的话藏在心中，俾能昼夜思想，这是蒙福的途径。
惟喜爱耶和华的律法，昼夜思想，这人便为有福。（诗篇1篇2节）
Blessed is the man... his delight is in the law of the LORD,and on his law he meditates day and night.(Ps1:1-2)
1 品格的重要
信徒是世上的光，别人见到我们良好的品格时，可使主得荣耀。
你们的光也当这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，便将荣耀归给你们在天上的父。（马太福音5章16节）
注：良好的品格是主耶稣对信徒的要求，目的是使神得荣耀。
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.（Mt5：16)
2 品格的标准
非基督徒没有固定的标准，基督徒有神的话作良好品格的标准。
2.1品格的标准
耶和华说，我的意念，非同你们的意念，我的道路，非同你们的道路。天怎样高过地，照样我的道路，高过你们的道路，我的意念，高过你们的意念。（以赛亚书55章8-9节）
注：神的意念高过我们的意念，故以衪的话作为良好品格的标准，是最好不过的。
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.（Isa55：8-9)
2.2良好的品格
圣灵所结的果子，就是仁爱，喜乐，和平，忍耐，恩慈，良善，信实，温柔，节制。这样的事，没有律法禁止。（加拉太书5章22-23节）
注：这里提及的九个品格，是圣灵在信徒身上所结的果子，信徒要靠主才有能力建立良好的品格。
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.（Gal5：22-23)
3 圣灵的果子（一）
仁爱、喜爱、和平。
3.1仁爱（love）
我若能说万人的方言，并天使的话语却没有爱，我就成了鸣的锣，响的钹一般。我若有先知讲道之能，也明白各样的奥秘，各样的知识。而且有全备的信，叫我能够移山，却没有爱，我就算不得什么。我若将所有的周济穷人，又舍己身叫人焚烧，却没有爱，仍然与我无益。（哥林多前书13章1-3节）
爱是恒久忍耐，又有恩慈。爱是不嫉妒。爱是不自夸。不张狂。不作害羞的事。不求自己的益处。不轻易发怒。不计算人的恶。不喜欢不义。只喜欢真理。凡事包容。凡事相信。凡事盼望。凡事忍耐。（哥林多前书13章4-7节）
注：爱是建立良好品格的动机，但要把爱付诸行动必须封主有信心，否则只是空谈。上述经文指出爱应有的表现，信徒不可忽视。
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am on
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.（1Co13：4-7)
3.2喜乐（Joy）
喜乐的心，乃是良药。忧伤的灵，使骨枯干。（箴言17章22节）
要常常喜乐。不住地祷告。凡事谢恩。因为这是神在基督耶稣里向你们所定的旨意。（帖撒罗罗尼迦前书5章16-18节）
注：主知道世界有苦难，人人背负重担，但退到主里面可得安息。
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.（Pr17：22)
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.（1Th5：16-18)
3.3和平（Peace）
使人和睦的人有福了，因为他们必称为神的儿子。（马太福音5章9节）
注：和平包括内外两方面：内心有从神而来的平安，外在能与人和睦相处。追求和睦，及帮助他人如此行，是信徒（神的儿女）应有的品格表现。
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.（Mt5：9)
4 圣灵的果子（二）
忍耐、恩慈、良善。
4.1忍耐（Patience）
我们行善，不可丧志。若不灰心，到了时候，就要收成。所以有了机会，就当向众人行善。向信徒一家的人更当这样。（加拉太书6章9-10节）
你们必须忍耐，使你们行完了神的旨意，就可以得着所应许的。（希伯来书10章36节）
注：只有对主（及主的话）有信心的人，才有勇气忍耐到底，得着主的赏赐。
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.（Gal6：9-10)
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.（Gal6：9-10)
4.2恩慈（Kindness）
并要以恩慈相待，存怜悯的心，彼此饶恕，正如神在基督里饶恕了你们一样。（以弗所书4章32节）
注：待人恩慈包括饶恕和牺牲。神为了要饶恕我们，牺牲了衪的儿子，我们应以衪为榜样。
Be kind and compassionate to on
4.3良善（Goodness）
主人说，好，你这又良善又忠心的仆人。你在不多的事上有忠心，我要把许多事派你管理。可以进来享受你主人的快乐。（马太福音25章21节）
你不可为恶所胜，反要以善胜恶。（罗马书12章21节）
注：主喜欢良善忠心的信徒，但良善的标准，不是照人的意思，而是照神的意思。主期望我们以善胜恶，只有信靠主的人才能如此。
His master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!”（Mt25：21)
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.（Ro12：21)
5 圣灵的果子（三）
信实、温柔、节制。
5.1信实（Faithfulness）
我们纵然失信，他仍是可信的。因为他不能背乎自己。（提摩太后书2章13节）
你们的话，是，就说是，不是，就说不是。若再多说，就是出于那恶者。（马太福音5章37节）
注：神自己信实可靠，衪也要求我们诚信待人，不怕吃亏。若要如此，我们须对主有信心。
If we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself.（2Ti2：13)
Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil on
5.2温柔（Gentleness）
温柔的人有福了，因为他们必承受地土。（马太福音5章5节）
我心里柔和谦卑，你们当负我的轭，学我的样式，这样，你们心里就必得享安息。（马太福音11章29节）
注：很多人看重刚强的品格，以为温柔是弱者的表现。但温柔的人常为他人设想，满足他人的需要，那是把爱心付诸行动，是强者的行为。耶稣更吩咐我们学效衪的柔和（就是温柔）与谦卑，因为这样我们心里必得享安息。
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.（Mt5：5)
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.（Mt11：29)
5.3节制（Self-control）
凡较力争胜的，诸事都有节制。他们不过是要得能坏的冠冕。我们却是要得不能坏的冠冕。所以我奔跑，不像无定向的。我斗拳，不像打空气的。（哥林多前书9章25-27节）
注：不但对坏事要节制不作，就是好事，也因其与目标不配合而应放弃不作。
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air.（1Co9：25-27)
