The school currently offers A level teaching in Art, Music, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Global Perspectives, Economics, Accounting and Business studies. In many of the subjects – Macro and Micro Economics,Calculus, Statistics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science - we also prepare students for the American AP assessment.

Prior to entering into A levelor AP pathway, most students – except some exceptionally talented ones doing it in one year - are required to go through a rigorous two year program – Pre-Ayears - that aims at teaching IGCSE curricula. Students receive teaching in the medium of English from expatriate as well as the native teachers who are also proficient in English. In addition to taking Cambridge (CIE) and AP exams, students are prepared for external tests such as SAT, IELTS and TOEFL.

Students are taught in classes of about 25. In the pre-A years, they are taught the subjects they expect to follow and Academic English. The aim of the courses taught in Pre-A years is to bring their knowledge and expertise to the point where they are ready to begin AS study; the development of their competence in English is especially important. AS, A2 or AP are then followed in the normalway. This pathway has started from September 2014. Teachers are expected to teach in both - the British as well as American pathways.

Job Description &Responsibilities

1. Full-timeEnglish teachers wanted: teach Curriculum IGCSE ENGLISH, academic writing, reading, literature introduction

2. 2-year Employment Contract. Starting date September

3. Students’age 13-18; 20-26 Classes/week, 40 minutes/class

4. Office hour 07:50-12:00  13:30-18:00（Flexible when no classes）

Requirements:

1. Candidates from US/UK/AUS/CAN/NZ/Ireland/SA, aged 20-55

2. Applicants will normally be expected to have at least a bachelor’s degree in the subject they are going to teach, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education or the equivalent qualification that gives them a license to teach in their own country and

3. a minimum of 2 years’ experience of teaching a relevant course at an appropriate level. English teachers are flexible for teaching experience but certificates for teaching English as the second language over120 hours are at least required.

Salary &benefits

1. Salary: 20000rmb—24000rmb +Housing allowance

2. Working Visa: assisted and sponsored

3. Flights to and from the teacher’s normal country of residence and China at the beginning and end of the contract will be paid in full, for the teacher and his or her spouse. For teachers on a contract of two years, an allowance of up to 8000RMB each for the teacher and his or her spouse will be made to enable one visit to their home country to be made during the school’s vacation.

4. Medical Insurance: 10000 rmb/year

5. Free breakfast and lunch for working days

6. National statutory holidays and Christmas day

7. Other bonus and benefits: A bonus of up to 2 months’ salary at the end of 2 years of contract. Shipping allowance etc.
