严培明，当代艺术家，1960年生于上海。

毕业于法国第戎美术学院，曾任教于法国第戎美术学院。

现工作生活于法国、上海。

 严培明：机会来的时候我也不会放过 

Yan Peiming: I will not miss an opportunity when it comes

艺术家在创作中一定是孤独的，因为唯有孤独才能让你沉浸在艺术创作中，相反你在创作中如若人很多，周遭环境也是豪华的，我想对艺术家而言那是没法创作的。孤独是艺术家的一个优点，当然这不意味着艺术家天天孤独，我指的是在创作中要保持自己独立的创作思维，这时与孤独为友尤为重要。

The artist must be lonely in the creation, because only the lonely can make you immersed in the artistic creation, contrary to many if you in the creation, the surrounding environment is a luxury, I think it is not for the artist creation. Loneliness is an advantage of artists, of course, this does not mean that artists are lonely every day. I mean that in writing, to maintain their own independent creative thinking, it is particularly important to be friends with loneliness.
