通知与预告 | NYUSH - NYU Stern 硕士项目学期安排调整通知

各位同学：

今年4月，上海纽约大学研究生招生办发布了关于数据分析和商业计算硕士项目(MS in Data Analytics and Business Computing) 和计量金融项目(MS in Quantitative Finance) 推迟开学的通知，声明了开学时间由6月推迟至8月于纽约开学。自此，我们共同见证了新冠疫情的不断发展变化，虽然全球疫情何时结束仍是未知数，但局势逐渐明朗。

4月27日，上海纽约大学成为了上海第一批允许师生返校的高校之一，这一天的到来，离不开我校为保障师生员工安全返校而采取的全面防疫防控措施。即使我们已经恢复部分线下教学计划，我们依然要求师生员工严格遵守防疫规范，以保证全校人员的身体健康。

考虑到上海纽约大学的最新校园开放政策，以及中国疫情良好的防控现状，我校决定对数据分析与商业计算硕士项目和计量金融硕士项目2021届同学发布第二次学期安排变更通知：2020年8月3日，以上两个硕士项目将改为在上海纽约大学开学。同学们将于2021年2月中旬至5月底前往纽约斯特恩商学院完成硕士项目的学习。

同学们将于8月3日开课，职业发展中心将在暑期开始为同学们提供职业发展服务。2021届同学将于2021年5月在纽约毕业。

选择就读理想的硕士项目是一生中的重要决定，尤其在现今特殊的情况下。我们希望这份最新的项目学制安排说明能够帮助同学们进一步考虑和选择理想的硕士项目，同时，我校教职工将一如既往地努力为同学们带来高质量的学习体验。我们期待8月与大家如期见面，并陪伴同学们完成未来一年在上海纽约大学和纽约大学斯特恩商学院的学习。

Dear Students,

Last month, we informed you of our decision to push back the start of the NYU Shanghai - NYU Stern MSprogram from June 2020 to August 2020 in New York. Since then, we have seen, like you, how the COVID-19 pandemic has continued to upend lives and challenge universities around the world to adapt to a new reality. While the end of the epidemic still lies sometime in the future, as we write to you today, we are able to find gleams of hope.

On April 27, NYU Shanghai became one of the first universities in Shanghai to reopen. While it was an immense joy to see students, faculty, and staff return, we are most proud of our community's commitment to being a city-wide model for responsible reopening. Thus, even as we resume classroom teaching, we are proceeding in phases and also taking seriously the exercise of best practices on hygiene and distancing on our campus. 

After much deliberation, it is with NYU Shanghai's reopening in mind that we have decided to make a second change to the MS in Quantitative Finance: in August 2020, the program will now begin at NYU Shanghai and conclude with the NYU Stern module from mid-February to late May. The NYU Shanghai - NYU Stern MS program is unique for its opportunity to study in two of the world's greatest business hubs, and we believe this change will best enable us to preserve the integrity of the NYU Shanghai and NYU Stern modules this year.

The courses will begin in Shanghai on August 3 (three weeks earlier than previously anticipated). Career services will still be available to matriculating students starting this summer. Note that Commencement will take place in New York in May 2021.

We know that selecting a master’s program is a decision of lifetime significance, especially this year. We hope our announcement helps you to make your decision with more clarity. Our faculty and administration remain ready as ever to deliver the high-quality program you expect. We look forward to welcoming you to Shanghai in August and supporting you in your journey at both NYU Shanghai and NYU Stern in the coming year.
