在2021年上海纽约大学本科生毕业典礼中,张文宏医生讲道:“全球化的问题也只能通过人类的团结才能予以解决。我相信人类的未来取决于世界上的年轻人是否最终能够走在一起”。
在过去的一年半中,新冠疫情给世界各地的年轻人在求学、工作和生活中带来巨大挑战,也深刻影响了全球教育的理念和模式。我们希望未来年轻的社会工作者们,可以从两年在上海和纽约的学习过程中,学会理解并尊重文化差异,并在社工实务中运用专业知识和技能处理分歧和矛盾,让年轻人最终能够走在一起。

一转眼,2020-2021学年已经结束。上海-纽约社会工作硕士(以下简称“MSW”)项目的同学们克服巨大的挑战,完成了本学年的学习。项目二年级的学生顺利毕业,并参加了纽约大学社会工作学院举办的线上毕业典礼。而在前不久上海纽约大学为“就近入学”的研究生举办的毕业典礼中,也有五位MSW毕业生参加了线下仪式,来庆祝过去这段难忘的学习经历。

五月底,MSW项目举办了项目自成立以来的首次校友聚会,共有近20位项目校友参加了本次活动。大家欢聚一堂,回顾以往在项目学习时和在纽约生活的点点滴滴,共叙同窗之情。项目将在以后定期举办校友聚会,为社会工作硕士项目校友搭建职业发展平台。欢迎MSW项目的校友们常回家看看。

By Peter Hessler
A wonderful collection of stories of ordinary Chinese people, ranging from young Chinese who dream of carving out lives for themselves completely unlike those their parents lived or could even envision, to much more famous ones like Yao Ming. Hessler tells tales of cultural differences and mutual misunderstanding in a way that is both humorous and deeply empathetic.

Ethical Decisions for Social Work Practice
This classic text helps students recognize ethical issues and dilemmas, reason carefully about ethical issues, clarify their ethical aspirations at the level demanded by the profession, and achieve a more ethical stance in their practice.
