The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was the first Sino-foreign university to open its doors in China. Established in 2004, with the full approval of the Chinese Ministry of Education.

Around 32% international/HMT students were awarded with either Nottingham Global Scholarships or Ningbo/Zhejiang Government Scholarship ranging from 25% tuition fee to full tuition fee. 

Scholarship Info

Nottingham Global Scholarship

Nottingham Global Scholarship scheme includes three tiers of scholarship covering from 25%，half and 100% tuition fee. The selection of the Global scholarships are mainly based on your acedemic merit and given on rolling basis and it is still available now.

Ningbo/Zhejiang Government Scholarship

For postgraduate students, the Ningbo/Zhejiang Government Scholarship provides RMB 30,000 on your total tuition fee. It can be applied together with the Nottingham Global Scholarship but you would get one that is most available.

Alumni & Family Scholarships

If you are a student graduating from the University of Nottingham (three campuses), an alumni scholarship would be automatically applied at 15%. Family members would enjoy a 10% discount on the tuition fee as well.

Entry Requirements

1. Apply with Domestic Qualifications

Academic Requirement: The minimum average score of domestic universities of project 211 graduates is 80. The minimum average score for non-domestic universities of project 211 graduates is 85.   

2. Apply with International/HMT Qualifications

Academic Requirement: You are expected to hold an honours degree at 2:1 level or above (or international equivalent) in an appropriate subject.Please also search from our Global Tab for country/regional based requirements for yourself.

Application Deadline: May 31, 2020

3. English Requirement

IELTS 6.5 no less than 6.0 in any element

(Considering the close down of the exam centres recently, this could be provided later.)

How to Apply

To complete your application, you would need to fill out the application form first, besides, you would still need to prepare the other documents listed as below:

1. One recommendation letter on headed paper, signed and/or stamped

2. Academic transcripts and degree certificates (results so far, or completed)

3. English language test score report if already received (IELTS/PTE Academic)

4. Personal statement

5. One photocopy of the main pages from your passport

6. One 2*2 inch color bareheaded photo with white background
