Illegal Actions One Must Avoid during Visa Application

Action 1

Lying about the purpose of application

The consequence will occur as the following examples, depending on the specific situation.

Situation 1

If one applies for a 6-month entrepreneurship visa but has not registered a company within the following 6 months(business consulting category),  the visa will be canceled upon the exposure of this illegal behavior.

Situation 2

If one has registered a company within 6 months after his application, but he has not done consulting related affairs, police officers may verify the situation, upon the exposure, the visa and the company's business license will both be canceled.

Situation 3

If one has registered a company within 6 months and has applied for a work visa as an investor of the company, one may remain under the monitoring of police officers and may be required to visit the exit and entry bureau to respond to any inquiries.

When he renews his visa for the next time, he will be required to show proofs of hiring a Chinese employee and paying social security, as well as bank statements and other business evidence (such as business contracts, etc.).

Action 2

Fake invitations

Situation 1

If one has not conducted business activities in steps with the invitation letter, once verified, the exit and entry administration will cancel his business visa and deport him out of China unless the company can provide relevant proofs of changes in business activities.

Situation 2

If it is uncovered that a fake company certificate or a fake kinship certificate is included in the application, once verified, the applicant's visa will be canceled.

Action 3

Affiliation on other companies

If one does not work in Company A, but has applied for a work permit through Company A and the police has verified this situation as a fact through repeated checking by visiting Company A, one's residence permit will be canceled.

Action 4

Working outside the scope of one's work permit category

If one has applied for a work permit as a company assistant, but the police have verified that he was a foreign teacher in an educational institution, this counts as an illegal action and consequently, one's residence permit will be canceled.

Action 5

Fake work experience (experience in China)

Obtaining a certificate of work experience provided by Company A via pulling strings or using bribery, and using it to apply for a work permit may count as an illegal action. Once the certificate is exposed as invalid, the exit and entry administration will halt in processing one's work permit.

DON'T BREAK THE LAW

The above actions will be recorded in the Service system for foreigners working in China once discovered, and the record will affect your future applications for Visa to China.

If the circumstances are serious, theperson concerned will be detained by the public security department.
