Coffee Commune is a for-profit social enterprise passionate about crafting great coffee from seed to cup and transforming coffee farming communities through equipping, investing and direct trade.

We equip small landhold farmers in Yunnan all year round to produce high quality micro lots and we operate wet mills and Yunnan's first dry mill specifically designed to process specialty grade micro lots.

In Yunnan, most coffee farms are small land hold farms, i.e. farms smaller than three acres, operated by individual families with two to three generations living and working together. On average, one family produces about 1,500kg of coffee in a year, which at today’s prices yields a household income of RMB 35 per day.

Did you know: Of RMB 30 you pay for a Latte, the coffee farmer gets only RMB 0.3. With Coffee Commune’s 1-for-1 initiative, for every coffee you drink at Coffee Commune we give RMB 1 extra to a farming community in Yunnan.

Did you know: With the extra money from Coffee Commune’s 1-for-1 initiative, farmers can afford the boarding fees to send their children to school all year round.
