Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT) Accounting Educators' Conference

The School of Accounting warmly extends an invitation to attend the RMIT Accounting Educators’ Conference, Singapore, Asia, 2017, held at 1 Raffles Place, #31-01 One Raffles Place, Singapore. 

This conference represents a milestone in the development of the accounting academy that highlights the important role that educators play in shaping the future of the accounting profession. This conference welcomes the exchange of ideas and information about projects, research, education, practice and policies. The School of Accounting, RMIT, along with CPA Australia and Singapore Institute of Management, is proud to host this inaugural event as a complement to the RMIT Accounting Educators’ Conference that has been held in Melbourne for the past eight years.

The theme of this inaugural conference is Accounting Education in a Global Market.

The program will feature experts, keynote speakers and a number of accounting and education scholars. Presentations will include plenary speakers, panels, and paper sessions. These sessions provide a forum for sharing and shaping ideas, insight and discussion on accounting education in a global market.

This conference provides participants with the opportunity to:
 Explore：the ways in which accounting education is adapting to a global market place
 Debate：the future of accounting education, and
 Learn： from the experience of others

Up to ten conference delegates will be offered complimentary registration at the CPA Congress to be held on 11 October at Raffles City Convention Centre, Singapore.

In a rapidly changing educational environment at international, national, and institutional levels, the theme of the RMIT Accounting Educators' Conference, Singapore, Asia, 2017, couched in the globalisation of accounting and accounting education, is both significant and topical. By attending this conference, you will be part of a community engaging in a dialogue about the future of accounting education.
