One bright sunny day,

the wind blows in.

一个阳光明媚的日子，风吹了进来。

It boasts,

"I am stronger than the sun!"

风自吹自擂的说：“我比太阳更强大！”

The sun says,

"You think you are strong.

太阳说：“你认为你很强大。

But I am stronger than you.

但是我比你更强大。

Let's have a contest."

我们比一比吧。”

The sun looks down

and sees an old man.

太阳向下看了看，看见了一个老人。

He wears an overcoat.

他穿着一件外套。

"Do you see that old man?"

the sun asks.

“你看见那个老人了吗？”太阳问。

"Let's see who can make him

take off his overcoat."

“我们看看谁能让他把外套脱下来吧。”

The wind blows.

风吹着。

Then the man 

buttons up his overcoat.

然后这个人扣上了他的外套。

The wind blows harder and harder.

风吹得越来越大。

The old man stays huddled 

in his overcoat.

老人一直蜷缩在他的外套里。

Then the sun comes out,

"Now it is my turn."

然后太阳出来了：“现在轮到我了。”

Bright sunlight fills the air.

明媚的阳光照耀着天空。

The air grows warmer.

气温变得更暖和了。

The old man feels hot 

and he unbuttons his overcoat.

老人感到很热，然后他解开了外套。

Soon 

he has to take off his overcoat.

很快他不得不脱了外套。
