A school's traditions builds the sense of community and here at Dulwich Puxi our traditions celebrate 400 years of British education excellence and tradition from Dulwich College. Traditions form part of our culture and are firmly embedded in all that we do.
”The House Sorting Ceremony
400 years of Dulwich history came alive with the annual House Sorting Ceremony. Each new student from Year 1 was invited on to the stage of the Alleyn Theatre, where they tried on the Dulwich Sorting Hat. The Dulwich Sorting Hat then announced which of our four Houses (Song, Earhart, Yung or Shackleton) they were joining.
Students relish their involvement in our House system and it is a vibrant part of school life for our students. Termly, students of the same House rally together to compete in athletics, swimming, and creative collaboration challenges against students in the other Houses. Not only is it a spirited part of school life, but it is also wonderful to see students of all ages bond together.
For older students, it provides an excellent platform to develop leadership skills, as they lead their fellow younger students through competition days. For our younger students, it is an excellent opportunity to connect with older students and build their confidence.

四百年的德威历史在上星期的年度学院分配典礼中完全体现出来。所有一年级以上的学生都被邀请到艾琳剧院的舞台，戴上了德威的魔法帽。德威魔法帽把学生们所属的学院(Song, Earhart, Yung or Shackleton) 一一宣布出来。
学生们积极参与学院的活动，这也是学校生涯中非常精彩的一页。每个学期，学生们都竭尽所能为自己所属的学院在运动，游泳和创意团队赛中与其他学院学生一较高下，争取佳绩。这不单纯是学校生活的精髓所在，我们更高兴的是看到学生们在不同年龄层里慢慢建立起互助互信的关系。
对高年级的学生而言，这是一个非常好的平台去锻炼他们的领导才能，特别是当他们带领学生在比赛中争取成绩时。对低年级学生而言，这也是一个和高年级学生交流并建立他们自信心的好机会。
