1. Stonehenge, a rock circle, is not only one of Britain’s most famous historical

places, but also one of its greatest mysteries.

巨石阵，一个岩石圈，不仅是英国最著名的名胜古迹之一，而且还是最大的谜团之一。

not only …but also…“不但…而且…” 主要连接两个对等的成分；连接两个成分做主语，其后谓语动词与靠近的主语保持一致，即“就近原则”。
