Into treasures of Tang Dynasty at Dongguan Museum 法门寺文物来东莞“出差”啦

       “地宫一开，便是半个盛唐”，法门寺地宫文物精粹特展共计展出60件国宝级文物，以沉浸式的手法展现唐代发达的物质文明和灿烂文化，让观众深度感受大唐的繁盛，重温大唐的辉煌。

Recently, the "Treasures of Tang Dynasty" exhibition is on display at Dongguan Museum. This exhibition showcases 60 cultural relics unearthed from the underground palace of Famen Temple in Baoji, Shaanxi Province, including 29 national first-class cultural relics. It is the first large-scale exhibition of Famen Temple treasures in Guangdong.

The exhibition is composed of three parts. The first part tells the history of Famen Temple, which was founded in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220 A.D.).

The second part shows the beauty of the instruments in Famen Temple underground palace. With perfect arrangement, these exhibits reveal the superb production techniques and the inclusive culture in the Tang Dynasty (618-906 A.D.). 

The third part features the culture of Buddhism, incense and tea culture during the Tang Dynasty.

It is worth mentioning that drama performances and special lectures are also being held in the exhibition area. In addition, flower arrangement, tea tasting and incense making activities also give the audience a chance to experience the life in the Tang Dynasty.
