TID of Dongguan People's Hospital began
On the afternoon of July 25, the foundation stone laying ceremony of the transport integrated development (TID) project of Dongguan People's Hospital was held. The TID project covers an area of about 48,241 square meters, with a total construction area of approximately 144,400 square meters, including the new science and education complex, the first-aid centre, and the 2-floor underground parking lot and the bus stations, etc. The TID project is targeted at improving public transportation and medical service.
The bus station on the first floor of the science and education complex and the subway exit will be integrated to create a "rain-free" public transportation space, providing convenience for all citizens, not just those with cars. The subway station is linked with the hospital's basement, providing passengers with a better transfer experience. People can access the outpatient building, first-aid centre, science and education complex, etc., through the pedestrian area on the first floor. Once completed, the hospital will be effectively connected to the public transportation system and the civil air defence project, which should dramatically reduce traffic congestion.
The reconstruction of the science and education complex and the first-aid centre will meet various medical needs and effectively improve the scientific research level and public medical services of Dongguan People's Hospital. At the same time, the introduction of medium and high-end medical supporting services can also meet the market demands in and around the hospital, such as accommodation, official business, commercial services and so on.
Presently, bidding for the general contracting of the TID project has been completed. The working drawings are still being designed, and extensive civil construction will be carried out after completing the project drawings. The construction period of the TID project is about 1184 days, and it is expected to be completed in January 2026.
