1953年由小比尔·格劳尔（BILL GRAUER JR.）和欧林·基普纽斯（ORRIN KEEPNEWS）创立于纽约，最初是通过购买其它公司的母带翻制出版唱片，1954年开始自行录音，是当时最重要的爵士唱片厂牌之一，塞洛尼斯·孟克、约翰尼·格里芬、比尔·伊文斯、威斯·蒙哥马利、“加农炮”艾德利和巴瑞·哈里斯（BARRY HARRIS）都在RIVERSIDE留下过极佳的录音。RIVERSIDE于1964年倒闭，它的很多珍贵的历史录音一直到70年代中期才由FANTASY整理出版。
Agnes Obel，来自丹麦的美人鱼。为什么会这么称呼她？因为在2010年上海世博会丹麦馆的“美人鱼”主题活动中，Agnes Obel作为表演嘉宾之一，带给了我们怦然心动的优雅声音。
