My First Special Memory
Good afternoon! Ladies and gentlemen. I’m contestant No.43. I am just getting over a cold and a fever. So, emmmm... My throat is not comfortable. That’s okay. Let’s begin. Let me begin with a story. I was immersed in the sweet dreams of the West Coast of the U.S.that summer.
“Zzzzz…” A great drill was drilling through something, and that something was my tooth! But what is that? Or who is that? Well, it was the germs that were causing the pain! I was so scared that I quickly told my mom about my horrible toothache.
When we found a dentist, we followed her into the laboratory. I felt dizzy as I watched the drills and other equipment gleam under the bright white light. The dentist comforted me tenderly. “Don't worry, it won't hurt, I’ll be over in just a second.” She helped me onto a little seat and put on me a pair of sunglasses, through which I could not see anything.
“Are you going on a vacation tomorrow？where?” she asked.
“To Yellowstone .”
“Are there any animals there? What kind ？”
“Yes. Bears, wolves, lions.”
After a bunch of small talk ,I found myself gradually calming down. I heard the sound of someone grabbing some pincers. She took them up and clutched it on my tooth, as she started to pull with some might. After a while, I was so glad and relaxed to see the tooth in her hand.
This was my first time I got my tooth extracted and the hole is still empty. After this small accident, it seems that only experience hurt although scary, can help little boys grow up.
