⑴ 定义：过去进行时表示过去某一时刻正在进行或发生的动作,也表示过去一段时间内的活动或那个阶段正在进行的动作.如:
He were watching TV at 8:00 last night.
They were writing a book last month.
⑵ 谓语结构：过去进行时由be (was/were)+动词ing 形式构成的,
⑶时间状语：过去具体的时间，如at this time yesterday, at nine o’clock last night，from…to… yesterday
⑷句型：
肯定句:主语+was/were +doing +…
否定句: 主语+wasn’t/weren’t +doing +…
一般疑问句: Was/Were+主语+doing+…
肯定回答:Yes, 主语+was/were.
否定回答:No, 主语+wasn’t/weren’t.
如: They were studying English at this tine yesterday.
They weren’t studying English at this time yesterday.
Were they studying English at this time yesterday?
Yes, they were. / No, they weren’t.
eg: we (watch) a movie at this time yesterday.
Were you (do) your homework at seven o’clock last night?

①一般过去时谓语动词用 形式；而过去进行时谓语动词用 形式。

③ eg: I (take) a shower just now, so I couldn’t answer you phone.
