 Application Guide for International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship 

（2023 spring ）

为满足国际社会对日益增长的中文教育类人才的需求，促进世界各国中文教育的发展，助力国际中文教育人才的成长，教育部中外语言交流合作中心设立国际中文教师奖学金（以下简称奖学金），聚焦培养合格的海外中文教师。孔子学院、独立设置的孔子课堂，部分汉语考试考点，外国相关教育机构、高校中文师范专业/中文院系、国外有关中文教学行业组织、中国驻外使（领）馆等（以下简称推荐机构）可推荐优秀学生和在职中文教师到中国大学学习和进修汉语国际教育及相关专业。天津外国语大学作为接收院校之一，特将申请办法公布如下：

For the purpose of cultivating qualified International Chinese language teachers, developing international Chinese language education talents and facilitating Chinese language education in other countries, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education established the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship (hereinafter, “Scholarship”), focusing on training qualified overseas Chinese teachers. Confucius Institutes, independently operated Confucius Classrooms, certain HSK test centers, Chinese language (education) departments of foreign universities, professional organizations for Chinese language instruction abroad, Chinese embassies (consulates) abroad (hereinafter, “recommending institutions”) may recommend outstanding students and currently-employed Chinese language teachers to study International Chinese Language Education or related majors in Chinese universities and colleges . As one of the authorized host institutions, Tianjin Foreign Studies University (hereinafter, “TFSU”) hereby posts the application procedures as follows：

一、资助对象

I.ELIGIBILITY

1．非中国籍人士；

2．身心健康，品学兼优；

3．有志于从事中文教育、教学及相关工作；

4．年龄为16-35周岁（统一以2022年9月1日计）。在职中文教师放宽至45周岁。

All applicants shall be

a) Non-Chinese citizens；

b) In good physical and mental condition, with good academic performance and conduct；

c) Committed to the Chinese language education, teaching and related work;

d) Between the ages of 16 and 35 (as of September 1st, 2022). Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers shall not be over 45.

二、奖学金类别及申请条件

II.SCHOLARSHIP TYPES AND QUALIFICATIONS

1．一学期研修生Scholarship for One-Semester Study

汉语国际教育、汉语言文学

2023年3月入学，资助期限为5个月。不录取护照上有X1、X2签证者。汉语考试成绩达到HSK（三级）180分，具有HSKK成绩。

Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages、Chinese Language and Literature

The program commences from February 2023, and provides scholarships of a maximum of 5 months. Applicants holding the X1 or X2 visa are not eligible.

A minimum score of 180 for HSK 3 test and an HSKK test score are required.

2. 奖学金线上项目 Scholarship for Online Study

2.1一学年汉语研修线上项目

One-Year Online Study Program

2023年3月入学。一般汉语水平考试成绩需达到 HSK（三级）180 分，提供 HSKK成绩者优先。

The program commences from February 2023.A minimum score of 180 for HSK 3 test is required and those who provide HSKK scores are preferred.

2.2一学期汉语研修线上项目

One-Semester Online Study Program

2023年3月入学。一般需具有汉语水平考试（HSK）成绩（对级别和成绩不作具体要求）。

The program commences from February 2023.HSK score is required (no specific requirements for grades and scores).

三、办理方式 

III.APPLICATION PROCEDURES

1. 登录国际中文教师奖学金报名网站（cis.chinese.cn），查询推荐机构与接收院校；在线提交申请材料，关注申请进程、审核意见与奖学金评审结果。

Please log on the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship website (cis.chinese.cn) to search for recommending institution and host institution. Upload application materials online; and track the application progress, comments and results.

2. 奖学金获得者与接收院校办理学习手续，在线打印获奖证书。

Scholarship holders need to confirm with the host institutions to go through the procedures of studying , and print out the scholarship certificate online.

3. 按我校录取通知书规定的时间报到。

 Register with the university according to the designated date on the letter of admission.

五、申请材料V.APPLICATION MATERIAL

1.护照照片页扫描件。

2.HSK、HSKK成绩报告（有效期两年）扫描件。

3.推荐机构负责人的推荐信。

4.在职中文教师须附上就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信。

5.未满18周岁的申请者，须提交在华监护人署名的委托证明文件。

6.接收院校要求的其他证明材料。

1.Scanned copy of passport photo page (required for each level of application);

2.Scanned copy of HSK, HSKK score report (valid for two years);

3.Recommendation letter from recommendation agency;

4.In-service Chinese teachers should attach the certificate of employment and recommendation letter issued by the working institution;

5.Applicants under the age of 18 must submit a proof letter of authorization signed by guardians in China;

6.Applicants also need to provide other supporting materials required by the host institution.

六、其它

VI.OTHERS

1.申请材料不完整或不符合招生条件的，概不受理。

2.申请材料弄虚作假，或非本人填写提交的，一经查实，申请资格将被取消。

3.申请者须了解目标接收院校的具体招生条件及报名截止时间，按照相关规定提交申请材料。 

4.未按时报到、入学体检不合格、中途退学、休学者，取消奖学金资格。

5.获奖者因故不能报到，应在报到日前15天书面告知我校并注明原因。无故未报到者，取消奖学金资格。

1.Incomplete or unqualified applications will not be processed.

2.Applicants will be disqualified in terms of fraudulent application materials or non-personal submission.

3.Applicants shall be familiar with the specific criteria and deadlines for registration, and submit necessary documents according to specific requirements.

4.Applicants who fail to register on time, fail to pass the health examination, withdraw, and/or suspend from school will be deprived of their scholarship.

5.Scholarship winners who cannot register

with TFSU on time must inform us of reasons in written form within 15 days before registration. The scholarship will be canceled if the one fails  to register without any reason.
