1.如何询问对方的生日
【课文应用】When's your birthday, Su Hai?
你的生日是什么时候,苏海?
It's on the eleventh of May.
它在五月十一日.
【句型结构】
问句: When is your birthday?
答语: It's on the+序数词(first,second,third...)+of+月份(January,February,May...).
【重点解析】问句是一个由when开头的特殊疑问句,用于询问对方的生日是什么时候。
在具体日期前介词使用 on。
【生活实例】Chen Jie 想知道Amy的生日是什么时候,于是她问Amy:
Chen Jie: When is your birthday, Amy?
你的生日是什么时候,埃米?
Amy: It's on the fourth of June.
它在六月四日。
当你想询问他人的生日时,只要把上面问句中的 your换成相应的形容词性物主代词或名词所有格即可。
例如: When is his birthday?
他的生日是什么时候?
When is my grandpa's birthday?
我(外)祖父的生日是什么时候?
2. 序数词
【课文应用】It's on the eleventh of May.
它在五月十一日。
序数词表示事物的顺序,常与定冠词the连用。
序数词的构成:
(1)序数词1~3分别为 first、second、third,没有什么规律,要特殊记忆。
(2)序数词4~19通常由基数词加后缀-th构成,其中特殊的有: five-fifth(第五), eight-eighth(第八), nine-ninth(第九), twelve-twelfth(第十二)。
（3）除10以外的整十的序数词,要先把基数词词尾的y变成ie,再加-th
例如: twenty twentieth(第二十)
thirty-thirtieth(第三十)
forty-fortieth(第四十).
（4）表示“21~99”非整十的序数词,只要把个位数变为序数词即可。
例如: twenty-one—twenty-first(第二十一)
fifty-four—fifty-fourth(第五十四).
（5）有时,序数词可以用缩写形式来表示,即在阿拉伯数字后面加上相应序数词的最后两个字母。例如:first-1st,
second-2nd
third-3rd
fourth-4th
sixth-6th
twentieth-20th
twenty-third-23rd
序数词的用法:
序数词可以作主语、宾语、表语和定语
例如:The first is my book.第一本是我的书。(作主语)
David likes the second戴维喜欢第二个.(作宾语)
He is the third in our class.他是我们班的第三名。(作表语)
The first apple is for you.第一个苹果是给你的。(作定语)
3. 基数词变序数词口诀
基变序,很容易,多数词尾加-th;
1,2,3特殊记,结尾各是t、d、d;
8减t来,9去e,ve要用f替;
见y把y变ie,结尾再加-th;
若是遇到几十几,只变个位就可以。
4.如何询问对方在生日那天做什么
