Elephants in central India's Kanha National Park have day-to-day responsibilities, like guarding the park. But once a year, the staff pampers the elephants for a week. They are touched gently, fed good meals and given a health exam. To pamper is to treat someone or something very well, with a lot of attention, care and kindness.
