又到了一年四次的衣橱整理时节

周末打开衣柜，想把冬天的衣服洗洗晒晒、收纳起来，却发现, "衣服那么多，最爱穿的来来回回其实就那么几件。" 更郁闷的是，居然还有几件毛衣没来得及拆标签，不等我临幸，就要被塞到储物箱里去了。

一想到无止尽的 “买买买”、“洗洗洗” 和 “理理理” ，焦虑感暴增。为了走出这死循环，我三下五除二理出了30多件绝对不会再穿的衣服，准备挂在“闲鱼”或者捐赠平台处理掉。一个人折腾了一下午，看到自己的衣橱又空出了不少空间，顿时有种

“掌握了衣橱就掌控了人生”的愉悦感

痛定思痛，我想要分享最终被我留下来的那10件来来回回被宠信的“真爱款”，望大家不要步我的后尘，走出买买买的陷阱，好好思考什么才是生活中最重要的。

It's changing season now.

Last Sunday, I did a closet clean out to clear the deck for the new season. When I was organizing my closet, I found that I only wear a half of the clothes in the closet in my everyday wear. These clothes are the ones I love really much. On the opposite, many clothes were barely worn by me, some of which even had tags on them! Actually, I feel like this story had played many times in my life…

I suddenly felt so anxious about this vicious cycle of buying and dumping clothes. Not only felt anxious about how much money I’ve been wasting on buying the items that I don’t truly need, but also confused about how often I got blind when I was shopping for clothes and ended up having such an inefficient closet! 

I decided to change myself, took out 30 clothes that I barely wore, and left only 10 ones that I value and wear the most. 

Looking at these “true loves”, I suddenly felt that finding the best clothes should be like finding my best love in relationships. 

When we meet the right one, 

we feel comfortable being ourselves. 

We glow in the way we are. 

We don’t need to try very hard 

to pretend someone we aren’t. 

I want to share my Top 10 True-love Items with you here. Hopefully you can also find yours by looking carefully at your current wardrobe.

什么是胶囊衣橱？

What is a Capsule Wardrobe?

1970年代由伦敦古董收藏家 Susie Faux 所提出的胶囊衣橱概念，简而言之，就是每一季都以最少件的单品互相搭配， 一旦选好了就要固定下来，三个月后换季时才能更动。

一方面强迫自己不得增加衣物，不得购物，省了金钱与时间，多了空间；一方面也由于选择少了，决定就简单了，个人风格也更一致了。用更小的衣橱、更有意识的购物行为，带来生活更多的乐趣。

Capsule wardrobe is a term coined by Susie Faux, the owner of a London boutique called "Wardrobe" in the 1970s. According to Faux, a capsule wardrobe is a collection of a few essential items of clothing that don't go out of fashion, such as skirts, trousers, and coats, which can then be augmented with seasonal pieces.

第一件：白Tee

Item 1- White Tee

白tee是我心目中“人类好朋友”，无论是小圆领、大V领还是椭圆领，都能够轻松搭配你的日常，配上小脚裤、短裙、或者是西装、风衣，足够应多生活中多个场合，是一个以不变应万变的优选。

White Tee is our "good friend". No matter what collar it is, it easily macthes your daily wears like jeans, skirts, suits, trench etc., a great interchangeable item.

第二件：条纹衫

Item 2- Striped Tee

作为内搭界的第二大宠儿，条纹衫是我会反复入手的单品（当然是穿坏了再入手哈）。

翻看时装杂志，条纹衫是法国女人怎么穿到钟小姐再到20岁穿到50岁的单品里反复提及的。之所以经典，就在于 “条纹衫”的百搭，配“牛仔裤”代表活力，配“西装裤”是优雅，配“小西装”则能呈现一种看起来毫不费力的时髦。

Striped tee has been one of the most wearable items for you to do mix and match. We can see how often it appeared in fashion megazines and is combined in the everyday wear of Parisienne women. You can be full of energetic vibes when you wear it with jeans. You can be elegant to wear it with trousers. You can also be effortlessly chic when you wear it with a blazer.

第三件：白衬衫

Item 3- White shirt

白衬衫是常穿常新的单品，一百个人穿上白衬衫可以有一百种气质风情。

白衬衫搭配珍珠项链和长裙，可以穿出端庄大气的质感；展开领子配上阔腿裤，轻松营造帅气感；作为打底配上针织长裙，法兰西美女的俏皮精致扑面而来，感觉就没有白衬衫打造不出的气质，嗯哼

White shirt is a must-own item. It can present hundreds of different styles. It matches pearl necklace and maxi, or loose pants with open collars. It works perfect with knit long skirt and so forth.

第四件：针织开衫

Item 4- Cardigan

针织开衫是个好东西。

乍暖还寒时，白Tee外面披上一件小针织开衫，在阳光下最是舒适。里面搭一件白衬衫也能应对偏休闲的商务场合。如果觉得自己的胶囊衣橱过于性冷淡，也可以跳出常规的黑白灰驼，不妨买一件色彩明亮或者带复古花纹的设计，让你的衣橱更有趣些。

While spring might kick in anytime, cardigan is a perfect choice. If your closet items are mostly black, white, khaki or grey, why not choose a bright color or vintage design one?

第五件：半身裙 

Item 5- Skirt

半身裙是我很爱买的类型，是一个可以从春天穿到冬天的单品。

半身裙的款式很多，花苞裙、铅笔裙、及膝裙、A字裙、开叉裙、百褶裙……..（段舍离之前都买过，敖娇脸）。如果从搭配的角度来看，我最推荐的是及膝或过膝裙。这类半裙轻松遮盖了很多女生不那么自信的腿型，把上衣塞进裙子里，配个或粗或细的腰带，还能衬托出小蛮腰，搭双高跟鞋更是穿出1米8的气质，屡试不爽的造型。

There are basically two types of skirts A-line and H-line. A-line is loose-fitting like pleated skirt, and H-line is slim-fitting like pencil skirt and wrap skirt. The suggested length would be at-knee or over-knee. You easily look good when you tack the top in, wear a belt and high heels.

第六件：连衣裙

Item 6- Dress

总有某些场合需要一身端庄的行头，连衣裙就是个懒人法宝。

选择一条合身的连衣裙，配上精致的项链和干净的发型，气质马上蹭蹭蹭上涨。在款式选择上，无袖或者是七分袖款式都更容易把你衬托得得体干练，如果没有纤纤手臂，自带短袖的连衣裙是个雷区哟。

You always need a dress. A dress that fits your shape very well with a delicate necklace and a clean hairstyle makes you outstanding right away. Sleeveless ones and three-quarter sleeve ones can make you look both stylish and professional. Be careful when choosing a short sleeve dress if you don't feel confident about your upper arm.

第七件：裤装

Item 7- Pants

裤子一直是我心目中最能体现个人品味的单品之一。

直筒裤、喇叭裤、小脚裤、阔腿裤、萝卜裤、九分裤、打底裤…….（对，我也曾经都拥有过…….），说起来像绕口令一样。既然是胶囊衣橱，我们一定会推荐能够应对各种场合和搭配的选择。九分裤和阔腿裤是我心目中非常时髦的选择，既能撑得起骄傲的高跟鞋，也能hold得住万能的小白鞋，还能尽可能视觉上拉升腿部线条，简直无敌。

Pants are always one of best items to show your personal taste.

Boyfriend style, bell pants, skinny pant, harem pants, ninth pants or leggings. For our capusle wardrobe, ninth pants and loose pants would be the smart choice. They go well with high heels or white trainers.

第八件：经典款风衣

Item 8- Trench

据说在经典款风衣在最初设计的时候，专门设计了一个功能来缓冲枪林弹雨。在和平年代，我们只需要一款能走路带风的风衣就足以了。

风衣的板型基本都是H型，长度会有一些变化，除了超级长款或者超级短款，大部分的长度都是凡人可以驾驭的。如果想把经典款穿出时髦感，可以试着敞开穿，修饰体型，或者卷起袖子、适当露出些衬衫的袖子，增加层次感。

The trench coat is typically worn as a windbreaker or as a rain jacket. Most trench coat are H-line, so it fits most body shapes. If you want to look smart in trench, you may add layers to it by leaving it open, or roll up the sleeves to reveal the shirt inside.

第九件：羊毛大衣

Item 9- Wool coat

一件合身的羊毛大衣，随机搭配以上8件单品，可以应对一整个冬天啊。

颜色上，还是经典的驼色、黑色、深灰色、藏青色可以轻松hold住全场，第二梯队的墨绿色、浅灰色也是很不错的选择。至于款式，我个人更推荐长度到臀部以下，可以更好地提升优雅、率性的气质。如果选择长度到小腿的大衣，完全是御寒神器，娇小身材的女生也可以大胆尝试，配上九分裤和小白鞋，轻松穿出chic。

A suitable wool coat could easily matches over 8 items for the whole winter. Color wise, except classic ones like camel color, black, dark grey and navy blue, dark green and light grey can also  be considered. Length wise, you can choose over hip ones. Petit ladies can also go for ninth pants and white trainers.

第十件：万能小西装

Item 10- Blazer

把我的心头好——小西装留到了最后压轴，因为小西装有太多的可塑性。为了找到适合自己的西装，我曾经跑遍各大专柜，拿出神农尝百草的精神，穿了脱，脱了再穿，找到真爱款后隔三差五拿出来搭配各种单品，迅速穿回本。

不要以为小西装只适合职场，凯特王妃可是穿着休闲西装走遍各种场合，只要公众视野所及，都是王妃的“秀场”。如果对你的身材足够自信，可以选择短款来凸显比例。如果偏爱欧美休闲风，可以选择宽松的长款，挽起袖子，时髦得不要不要了。

Last but not least, blazer is super interchangeable. It's not just for professional wear,  but also for many occasions. If you're confident enough, you can choose short design or long design.

回到文章的开头

此时敲打键盘的我郑重地审问自己：

"我真的需要那么多衣服吗？"

想到最近热播、也是我个人非常喜爱的日剧《东京女子图鉴》，女主从最初来到东京打拼，为了迅速融入时尚行业而努力把流行单品堆砌在自己身上，到最后几集里，女主用简单的单品来衬托自己的气质，笃定地走在东京街头，看起来一切都是那么地毫不费力。而我看到的，不仅仅是一个女生在品位上的提升，更是一种精神上的进化。

我们从物质匮乏突然进入到消费升级的时代，指尖一点就可以买到世界各地的商品，这样的生活方式是让我们更轻松，还是更焦虑？至少，在我每天打开自己的“胶囊衣橱”时，我的内心是清爽的。

So, asking myself again, 

"do I really need so many clothes?"

I think of a Japanese TV show "Tokyo Joshi Zukan". The main actress is a girl who left her hometown to work in the big city Tokyo. To fit herself in the fashion industry as soon as possible, in the first few episodes, she tried her best to put all fashionable, trendy items on herself but ended up looking weird and unnatural.

Gradually, she started to learn how to use simple but classic items in her wear. She looked so effortlessly beautiful and confident while walking on the street in Tokyo. What I saw is not only a girl’s upgrade in fashion tastes, but also an evolution of a better mental state.

Nowadays, we have everything we want, but we often want more than we have. Does this kind of lifestyle make our lives easier or more anxious?

Looking at my capsule wardrobe, I think I have an answer.
