As part of the IFC East Asia and Pacific region, Manufacturing Agribusiness and Services (MAS EAP) team- IFC Beijing office is now looking for an experienced Short Term Investment Temporary under local hire package to join our current team to provide support on managing all insurance related issues with IFC’s investment program for MAS sectors in East Asia and Pacific region. The short-term temporary will play an active role in participating in the local office's and the region’s business activities, interact directly with our local and global clients, and will work with colleagues from Headquarters, East Asia and Pacific, and other regional offices
Note: The selected candidate will be offered a short-term temporary appointment of up to 150 days per calendar year.
Role & Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project processing
•Prepare insurance due diligence questionnaire based on IFC insurance department template.
•Communicate with IFC client about IFC insurance due diligence questionnaire and collect client’s existing insurance policies.
•Coordinate with IFC insurance specialist and IFC client regarding insurance matters.
•Work with IFC clients and / or insurance brokers in the purchase and renewal of insurance policies according to the requests from IFC insurance specialist and investment team.
•Facilitate insurance requirement fulfillment during fund disbursement preparation stage.
Portfolio Supervision
•Timely follow up and obtain renewal of insurance policies for MAS EAP portfolio clients.
•upload renewed insurance policies and filing insurance summaries (translate into English) into IFC document system.
•Coordinate with IFC insurance specialist and IFC client regarding insurance matters at portfolio stage.
General
• Process insurance related waivers.
• Other insurance related matters as needed.
Selection Criteria & Competencies:
• At least 2-3 years of experience in in the insurance or insurance brokerage business, dealing with insurance issues with investment projects.
• Knowledge of relevant insurance products, including property all risk, business interruption, product liabilities, public liabilities, and director insurance. Experience in China and other Asian emerging markets is a plus.
• Strong spoken and written English and Mandarin skills
