政治理论专业的博士生们关心哪些问题？——芝加哥大学政治理论专业2010年以来博士论文题目汇总

政治理论专业的博士们都关心什么研究问题？他们的博士毕业论文题目讨论了哪些主题？本文汇总了芝加哥大学政治学系从2010年到2020年这十一年间，政治理论专业的博士论文题目。

一、基本概况

根据芝加哥大学政治学系官网的数据（https://political-science.uchicago.edu/content/placement-history），该系在这段时间内共有141位博士毕业生，其中42位为政治理论专业的博士毕业生（其中有40位能检索到博士论文题目），平均每年约毕业3.8位，占到全部博士毕业生的约三成。

二、研究主题

从主题上看，这些博士论文中，最热门的主题无疑是民主理论。在40篇能检索到题目的博士论文中，有12篇的题目中包含“民主”（democracy或democratic）这一关键词。另有数篇，虽然标题中没有出现“民主”一词，但实际上的研究主题属于民主理论的范围之内。

另外，政治思想史也仍然是相对热门的主题，有十余篇博士论文可纳入到政治思想史研究的范围之内。而在以政治思想史为主题的博士论文中，又呈现出两个明显倾向：其一，从研究对象的时间段上看，关注早期现代政治思想史（尤其马基雅维利、霍布斯、卢梭等）的尤多；其二，往往将政治思想史研究与一些当代主题结合起来（如民主理论、美国的民族主义、现代德国政治等）。

而美国政治理论学界在最近十到二十年间相当流行的其他一些研究主题，在芝加哥大学政治理论专业的博士毕业论文中，存在感并不高。例如，在我们的统计范围内，仅有3篇博士论文关注了种族问题，仅有2篇博士论文关注了人权理论，仅有1篇博士论文关注了女权主义理论。
