BJU showed its excellent support for the 2019 Beijing Marathon
September was a busy month for people who love to run and who look forward to participating in the 2019 Beijing Marathon. As you may know, BJU will be supporting the 2019 Beijing Marathon as the exclusive healthcare provider and the official offline registration channel. Here are how BJU has been offering its support.
From September 16 to 21, we welcomed several foreign participants to get their offline registration for the marathon.
On September 17, we also held an after-work 10 km Fun Run with a group of running enthusiasts at the Olympic Forest Park, where more than 20 runners gathered and ran together, not only to prepare for the marathon but also ran for fun.
Besides, we held two health seminars on September 8 and 21 to help the potential participants with their training through discussions on a number of topics, including nutrition, sports injury, physiotherapy, heart health, lung health, and first-aid in an emergency. The first World Patient Safety Day on September 17 September 17, 2019, marked the first World Patient Safety Day, which is dedicated to creating awareness of patient safety around the world. On the World Anesthesia Day - Friday, October 11 - the BJU Pain Clinic will offer eight free consultations for adults who suffer from chronic pain. If you or your loved ones have been troubled by pain or have related questions, you are welcome to register. BJU Stroke Center Open Day on October 29 BJU Stroke Center is one of the stroke centers within the network of facilities that are equipped with qualified staff and equipment in diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients with stroke promptly. The Stroke Center will be open on Tuesday, October 29, to welcome anyone interested in learning how doctors work together to save a patient with a possibly life-threatening condition known as stroke. The BJU Eye Clinic is offering five free preoperative assessments for cataract patients over the age of 60. This offer is renewed every month. Sign up early to save a spot! Health seminars and events at the workplace Throughout October, there will be a few health seminars at various workplaces, including the topics of healthy eating, chronic diseases (such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes), breast cancer prevention, women's health forum, spinal care, pediatric emergency, and automated external defibrillator (AED) training for the 2019 Beijing Marathon volunteers.
First-aid support at international community events Throughout October, BJU will provide first-aid support to many events in the community, including the ninth Equestrian Beijing Masters. BJU recently welcomed a new Neurosurgeon, Dr. Pengfei Chang, to join our Neurosurgery team. Dr. Chang has over 30 years of clinical experience. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of refractory epilepsy, movement disorders, chronic pain, and brain tumors. He is also experienced in the surgical treatments for medical complications, tumors of the nervous system, head injury, and cerebrovascular diseases. He speaks English and Mandarin.
