Inclusivity Isn't Just a Talking Point
This Sunday, December 3, marks International Day of Persons with Disabilities. For us, DEI isn't just a buzzword we talk about when mentioning corporate responsibility, it is something the organization lives and actively promotes. Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics works closely with a variety of partners to promote inclusivity and workplace opportunities for persons with disabilities.
This honor reflects United Family's commitment to the core values of I·CARE: "Continuous Innovation, Compassionate Care, Attentive, Mutual Respect, and Pursuit of Excellence."
BJU is deeply committed to corporate social responsibility, encouraging and working towards guaranteeing these principles for each employee in their social activities and contributions.
Adhering to the "I·CARE" core values, BJU is dedicated to creating a caring and inclusive platform for employees, conveying a sense of social responsibility, establishing an excellent medical culture, and building a warmer working environment.
Over 20 disabled employees work for United Family in Beijing. Among them, most have worked at BJU for 5 to 10 years, and some for over 10 years. They have witnessed and participated in the development of the hospital and continue to shine in various roles in the organization.
Matching Strengths, Unleashing Potential
BJU is committed to providing challenging positions for each disabled employee that match their abilities, allowing them to unleash their full
potential. The employee's needs are promptly understood, appropriate support is provided, and the employee is fully empowered.
BJU provides fair and equal job opportunities in the recruitment process, always believing that each employee possesses unique and unlimited potential. Moreover, the organization provides a continuous learning platform for all employees.
Meeting with the Disabled Persons' Federation
United Famly recruits through a number of diverse channels to attract and employ people with different backgrounds and abilities, including persons with disabilites.
There is close school-enterprise cooperation with special education schools, including internship programs that lead to employment opportunities. These programs help students accumulate valuable work experience while helping them adapt to the workplace environment.
Disabled Persons' Federation Recruitment Events
United Family actively collaborates with the Disabled Persons'
Federation (DPF) to initiate various recruitment events. Through linkage with the DPF, there is close cooperation with disabled individuls, understanding their strengths and needs, and finding suitable positions.
Internal Employee Referral Program
The hospital has a dynamic internal employee referral program, encouraging employees to recommend disabled candidates to join the BJU family. The internal referral mechanism effectively helps us discover talented individuals, and it serves as a source of pride for employees.
