全体南开大学国际学生：
Dear International Students of Nankai University:
2019-2020学年寒假放假时间为2020年1月13日至2020年2月16日。请注意2月17日正常上课，请务必提前安排行程，不要无故缺课。
The Winter Holiday of the 2019-2020 academic year is from January 13th 2020 to Feb 16th 2020. Please notice that classes will start on Febuary 17th, 2020. Please make your plan accordingly, and don’t be absent from your classes.
为了确保大家假期安全，现将国际学生寒假注意事项提醒如下，愿所有留学生认真阅读并相互告知，度过一个平安快乐的假期！
For your safety during the holiday, we kindly remind you some tips as following. Please read them carefully and inform each other. Wish you enjoy a safe and happy holiday!

遵守法律法规、校纪校规
Regulations & Policies
全体国际学生必须遵守中国法律法规和校纪校规。
All international students MUST comply with Chinese laws and regulations and Nankai university’s policies.
违反国家法律、法令、法规受到公安、司法部门处罚者，视其情节轻重，给予严重警告直至开除学籍处分；尤其是谨防非法打工、签证过期、酗酒闹事、校外住宿扰民等常见违法违纪行为发生。
Any violation of national laws, ordinances, and statutes will result in legal penalties from the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Justice, and, depending on the severity of the offense, will be given a serious warning which could lead to expulsion from Nankai University. Of special note are common violations such as illegal working with student visa, visa expiration, unruly behavior due to alcohol, and disturbing the peace when staying off campus.

确认签证到期日期
Expiration Date of Your Visa
如果你的签证在2020年2月20日前到期，你需要办理签证延期手续。
If it expires before Febuary 20th, 2020, you MUST extend your visa by following the steps below.
八里台校区国际学生：请在1月8日前到留学生办公室（八里台校区爱大会馆A101室）开具信函并到出入境管理局办理延长手续。
International students at Balitai Campus: Please visit the International Student Office (Room A101 at Aida Building) before January 8th, 2020 and then go to the Exit and Entry Bureau to extend your visa.
津南校区国际学生：先到津南校区专家公寓503留学生办公室领表并写好学院的表现后，然后到八里台校区爱大会馆A101补齐材料后，到出入境管理局申请签证即可。
International students at Jinnan Campus: Please visit the International Student Office (Room 503 at Expert Building) to take the required document and then visit the Room A101, Aida Building, Balitai Campus to process the left procedures. After visiting the Room A101, you should go to the Exit and Entry Bureau to extend your visa.
你需要准备携带的材料有：
Required Documents:
护照、备查卡、1张照片；
Passport, Temporary Accormmodation Registration Form for Foreigners (if applicable), and one photo;
自费学生还需带学费发票并要购买保险；
Self-supported students should bring your receipt of tuition and buy your insurance in addition to the required documents mentioned above;
津南校区学生请携带领取的表格。
Students at Jinnan Campus please do not forget your document which you get from Room 503 in addition to the required documents mentioned above.

确认是否需要请假
Ask for Leave
如果你在2020年1月13日之前离校或（和）2020年2月17日无法到校注册，你需要严格按照南开大学国际学生请假规定向相关的老师以及学院同时报备，得到获批之后方可请假。
If you will leave before January 13th, 2020 or (and) you cannot come back before Febuary 17th, 2020, you MUST submit the required form to ask for a leave. You should not leave until you receive the permission.

检查宿舍电器安全隐患
Safety of Electrical Devices Usage
严格注意用电安全，不违规使用电器，如电热毯、电炉子，不私搭电线，注意宿舍电器老化情况，如有发现异常，请第一时间与接待服务中心宿舍管理部门联系。
Pay attention to the electricity, and do not use the prohibited or high-volume electricity equipments such as electric blankets. Do not change the electricity wires or structures without permission. If anyone finds unusual situations of wires, please report to the front desk of your dormitory ASAP!
在离校之前，请严格检查所有的电器是否已经关闭、断电，插头是否已经拔下，避免在房屋无人的情况下发生火灾等安全问题。
Before you leave the school, please turn off all your electrical devices and remove plugs to prevent accidents such as fire.

切记出行与防盗防骗安全提醒
Traffic & Fraud Tips
遵守交通法规，注意交通安全。不得骑行摩托车。电瓶车行驶不超速、不超载、骑自行车不逆行行驶、不闯红灯。离开天津必须和国际学生辅导员报备，随身携带有效护照。在中国境内，抵达新的住宿地后需24小时内登记住宿地址。
Please abide by all traffic regulations and pay close attention to traffic safety. Riding motorcycles is not permitted. When riding battery-operated vehicles do not over-speed or overload. If riding a bicycle, do not go against traffic or run red lights. Students MUST inform your International Student Counselors before leaving Tianjin and carry a valid passport with you at all times. You should register your accommodation address within 24 hours when you arrive at your destination in China.
防盗防骗安全提醒: 不要随身携带大量现金，宿舍不留宿外人，外出一定将窗、阳台、门锁好。拒绝任何形式推销，严守个人信息。一定保管好个人的有效证件，不要将个人证件借给他人使用,并随身携带有效证件的复印件，谨防各种形式电信诈骗。
Tips to prevent theft and fraud: Do not carry a lot of cash when going out. Do not let strangers stay in your room. When leaving your room, make sure to lock windows and balconies. Refuse any kind of marketing and protect your personal information. Take good care of your personal documents, and do not let others use them on behalf of you. Always carry a photocopy of your important documentation such as passport, and especially pay attention to various kinds of tele-fraud.

国际学生寒假在校生活指南
No.1
选课安排
Class Selection
本科生选课：2020年1月2日至1月3日为预选阶段；2020年1月8日9：00至2020年1月10日24：00为正选阶段。更多资讯请查看南开大学教务处官方网站。
Bachelors: From January 2nd to January 3rd, 2020, students could pre-select classes; from January 8th, 9:00AM to January 10th, 12:00PM, 2020, students could select classes. For more information, please visit the Academic Affairs Department's website.
研究生选课：系统于12月30日至1月10日开放，寒假期间关闭，下学期开学后于2月17日至3月2日（上午8:00）再次开放，请同学们在规定时间段内选课。选课系统关闭后，不能再退选课。
Master's & Doctoral Students: The system will be open between December 30th 2019 to January 10th, 2020 and closed during the winter holiday. It will be re-opened from Febuary 17th to March 2nd. Once it's closed, withdraw or select classes are not accepted.

食堂安排
Schedules of Dinning Hall
（一）八里台校区
Balitai Campus
1.学一食堂、清真食堂假期正常供餐。
No.1 & Halal will open as usual.
2.馨香园餐厅、实习餐厅正常供餐至1月13日，1月14日停止供餐。
Xinxiangyuan & Shixi will open until January 13th.
3.学二食堂一楼、学三食堂正常供餐至1月17日，1月18日停止供餐。
No.3 & The 1st floor of No.2 will open until January 17th.
4.西园食堂正常供餐至1月18日，1月19日停止供餐。
Xiyuan will open until January 18th.
5.学二食堂二楼正常供餐至1月19日，1月20日停止供餐。
The 2nd floor of No.2 will open until January 19th.
6.以上所有停业食堂2月14日正式恢复供餐。
All the dinning halls above will re-open on Febuary 14th.
7.谊园餐厅自2020年1月14日至2月15日歇业，2月16日恢复正常营业。
The dinning hall of Yiyuan will be closed from January 14th to Febuary 15th, 2020.
8.爱大会馆餐厅自2020年1月20日至2月15日歇业，2月16日恢复正常营业。
The dinning hall of Aida Building will be closed from January 20th to Febuary 15th, 2020.
9.静园餐厅自2020年1月19日至2月10日歇业，2月11日恢复正常营业。
The dinning hall of Jingyuan will be closed from January 19th to Febuary 10th, 2020.
（二）津南校区
Jinnan Campus
1.学二食堂一楼、清真食堂假期正常供餐。
Halal & The 1st floor of No.2 will open as usual.
2.学一食堂一楼和二楼、学一食堂小餐厅、学二食堂二楼和三楼正常供餐至1月17日，1月18日停止供餐。
The 1st floor, 2nd floor, and Cafe of No.1 & The 2nd floor and 3rd floor of No.2 will open until January 17th.
3.以上所有停业单位2月14日正式恢复供餐。
All the dinning halls above will re-open on Febuary 14th.
4.专家公寓餐厅、留学生餐厅自2020年1月19日至2月10日歇业，2月11日恢复正常营业。留学生餐厅歇业期间只为外籍专家、留学生以及在津南校区值班的教职工提供服务，原则上不对外营业。
The Expert Building & International Student Dinning Hall will open as usual for international students.

教学楼安排
Schedules of Academic Buildings
（一）八里台校区
Balitai Campus
1月13日至2月16日，主楼正常开放，开放时间为7:00—23:00；二主楼关闭。
The Main Building will open between January 13th to Febuary 16th from 7:00-23:00. The Second Main Building will be closed during the holiday.
开放期间，凭南开大学有效证件进入。
You are only allowed to enter with a valid Student ID.
（二）津南校区
Jinnan Campus
1月13日至2月16日，公共教学楼开放B、C栋1层教室，开放时间为6:30—23:00（其中1月24日至30日为6:30—20:00）。
The 1st floor of the Public Building B & C will open between January 13th to Febuary 16th from 6:30 to 23:00 (from January 24th to 30th, it will open from 6:30 to 20:00).
开放期间，凭南开大学有效证件进入
You are only allowed to enter with a valid Student ID.

校医院安排
Schedules of School Clinic
南开大学医院1月13日至2月14日执行寒假门诊安排。
（一）八里台校区实行综合门诊，周六、日休息，其中1月24日至1月30日停诊。
Balitai Campus: It will only open on business days.
（二）津南校区实行24小时综合门（急）诊，可就医、取药、注射、换药。
Jinnan Campus: The clinic will open for 24 hours.

612公交运行方案
Shuttle Schedules
1月14日至2月14日（含周六、日及法定节假日）实行寒假运行方案。
The schedules apply to the winter holiday between January 14th to Febuary 14th (non-business-days are included).
寒假期间，在612路点对点直达公交和大站快速公交运行间隙，根据实际需求安排普线公交；津南校区225路校园公交停运。
Regular shuttles will be arranged as needed. No. 225 shuttle will be suspended.

If you have any emergencies inside the campus, please contact the Security Department of Nankai University.
