当地时间11月14日，国家主席习近平在巴西利亚出席金砖国家领导人第十一次会晤时，就当前香港局势表明中国政府严正立场。

习近平指出，香港持续发生的激进暴力犯罪行为，严重践踏法治和社会秩序，严重破坏香港繁荣稳定，严重挑战“一国两制”原则底线。

Chinese President Xi Jinping said the continuous radical violent activities in Hong Kong seriously trample rule of law and the social order, seriously disturb Hong Kong's prosperity and stability, and seriously challenge the "one country, two systems" bottom line.

止暴制乱、恢复秩序是香港当前最紧迫的任务。

He said the most pressing task for Hong Kong at present is to bring violence and chaos to an end and restore order.

我们将继续坚定支持行政长官带领香港特别行政区政府依法施政，坚定支持香港警方严正执法，坚定支持香港司法机构依法惩治暴力犯罪分子。

"We will continue to firmly support the chief executive in leading the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government to govern in accordance with the law, firmly support the Hong Kong police in strictly enforcing the law, and firmly support the Hong Kong judicial bodies in severely punishing the violent criminals in accordance with the law," Xi said.

中国政府维护国家主权、安全、发展利益的决心坚定不移，贯彻“一国两制”方针的决心坚定不移，反对任何外部势力干涉香港事务的决心坚定不移。

Xi said the Chinese government has unswerving determination to protect national sovereignty, security and development interests, implement "one country, two systems" policy and oppose any external force in interfering in Hong Kong's affairs.

马首铜像

Bronze Horse-head Statue

11月13日，澳门商人、收藏家何鸿燊捐赠马首铜像，使其“返乡”，马首将划归北京圆明园管理处收藏。

A bronze horse-head statue was donated back by Macao-based tycoon and collector Stanley Ho Hung-sun and handed over to the National Cultural Heritage Administration in Beijing on Wednesday.

2007年9月，何鸿燊以6910万港元拍下马首铜像，并在港澳地区公开展出，希望借此带动更多人参与保护中国文物的工作，共同宣扬爱国爱民族意识。

Ho spent HK$ 69.1 million ($8.8 million) to buy the statue in September 2007, and publicly exhibited it in Hong Kong and Macao promoting patriotism and people's consciousness protecting cultural relics.

为庆祝澳门回归20周年，何鸿燊联系国家文物局，决定将马首铜像捐赠给国家，国家文物局表示，将马首铜像划拨北京市圆明园管理处收藏。

Ho decided to donate it back to the mainland on 20th anniversary of Macao's return to China, after he contacted the National Cultural Heritage Administration, which said the statue will be given back to the Yuanmingyuan administration.

Sun Yang's Drug Test Appeal Testimony

当地时间15日，国际体育仲裁法庭在瑞士蒙特勒举行公开听证会，审理世界反兴奋剂机构对孙杨和国际泳联的上诉。然而，听证会期间，现场同传多次出现翻译错误，影响案件审理进展。随后，裁决小组主席就翻译问题公开道歉。

A judge in the high-profile anti-doping case involving Chinese Olympic swimmer Sun Yang has apologized for the translation services that rendered much of Sun's opening testimony unintelligible.The case involving Sun Yang and the World Anti-Doping Agency, or WADA, opened at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, or CAS, in Montreux, Switzerland, on Friday morning, and was immediately thrown in to disarray due to the inept translation service on hand.

据中国人民银行（中国中央银行）11月12日发布的数据显示，全国“双十一”期间在线支付金额达到1.48万亿元。

China's Singles Day online payments hit 1.48 trillion yuan ($211 billion), according to data released by the People's Bank of China, the Chinese central bank on Tuesday.

“双十一”购物狂欢节由阿里巴巴集团于2009年发起，今年天猫双十一全天总交易额达到2684亿元，比2018年增长26%。

Alibaba, the initiator of the Double 11 shopping carnival in 2009, achieved sales of 268.4 billion yuan this year, an increase of 26 percent compared to 2018.

鼠疫

中国疾控中心消息称，已对两例来自内蒙古自治区锡林郭勒盟的病例进行隔离治疗，并对病例进京后活动情况开展了详细的调查，对可疑暴露人群进行了详细排查。

It said the two patients from XilinGol League, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, have been quarantined and their activities since coming to Beijing have been investigated, while those suspected of exposure to the patients have been screened.

据介绍，北京市不是鼠疫疫源地，自然环境中不存在鼠疫菌，市民没有通过接触鼠等动物而感染的机会。

It also said Beijing is not a source of the plague epidemic, and there is no plague bacillus in its natural environment, so residents would not be infected through contact with animals including mice.

据介绍，我国的法定传染病分为甲、乙、丙三类，甲类传染病(Grade 1 infectious disease )包括鼠疫(plague)和霍乱(cholera /ˈkɒlərə/)。

辟谣

据央视新闻报道，近日，网传在北京宣武医院和北京儿童医院发现鼠疫疑似病例。记者从北京卫健委得到最新消息，近期有两名来自内蒙古鄂尔多斯市的就诊患者，专家结合患者流行病学史、临床表现、病原检查，患者不符合鼠疫诊断标准，排除鼠疫，解除隔离观察。
