I am an art student and I paint a lot of pictures.

I m hanging this picture on the wall, I answered. It s a new one. Do you like it?

She looked at it critically for a moment.

It s all right, she said, but isn t it upside down?
“还可以吧。”她说，“不过，是不是挂倒了？”
I looked at it again.
我再次看了看画。
She was right! It was!

考查冠词的用法，此处介绍自己是“一名美术生”，所以要用不定冠词。但在a和an的选择上，只要所修饰的单词开首的英标发音为元音，就用an, 千万不能看是否是元音字母 ( a e i o u )开首。
考查从句的引导词，此处what作介词about的宾语，表示“一幅画表现的是什么”。
考查连词不定代词的用法，此处是not...... anything，对应的是上题的“what”。
考查代词的用法，此处them为宾格，代替前面提到的“many pictures”。
