Notice on Health Declaration Code Application Adjustments
1.1 All passengers travelling from Ireland to China should take ONE nucleic acid test (PCR test) within 48 hours before the departure time of the flight to China. Results of the nucleic acid tests should be negative for the issuance of the Health Declaration Code.
1.2 All passengers travelling from Ireland to China via a transit airport may take the nucleic acid test either in Ireland or at the transit airport within 48 hours before the departure time of the flight, and should apply the Health Declaration Code from relevant Chinese Embassy or Consulate-General where the test is conducted. All passengers need to go through check-in and boarding procedures with a valid Health Declaration Code.
1.3 For passengers who have recovered from Covid-19, or have close contact with someone who's tested positive or has developed suspected symptoms of Covid-19, no extra requirements are needed, and can apply for the Health Declaration Code in accordance with Guidance 1.1 and 1.2.
3. To protect your and other passengers’ health, please be advised to take precautionary measures before and during your flights. Please take PCR tests as required and apply for Health Declaration Code in a timely manner, to ensure a smooth journey to China.
If your PCR test is taken in Northern Ireland, please apply the Health Declaration Code from the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Belfast.
