因为疫情所以做不了田野?别找借口了!斯坦福大学教你远程民族志!

斯坦福大学全球民族志研究中心(Center for Global Ethnography)近日发布上教学资源:
这套资源由该中心的两位主任、人类学家Sharika Thiranagama (Anthropology) and Sylvia Yanagisako (Anthropology)指导制作。
教学资源包括两个部分:访谈和书单
访谈了六位人类学大咖,请他们提供“远程民族志”的意见:
每个教学访谈:30分钟左右、均有英文字幕。
来自墨尔本皇家理工大学、伦敦大学学院的Heather Horst(田野区域为牙买加),专长是digital culture研究。她分享了如何结合线上的民族志与结下的民族志结合起来的经验与心得。
来自纽约市立大学的人类学教授Yarimar Bonilla (田野区域为波多黎各),从十分细节的角度,谈到线上访谈交往的时候,你会更加关注tones, words之类的,而她去做田野和别人交谈的时候,不喜欢即谈即写,更喜欢看着别人的眼神。
布法罗(Buffalo)大学法学院教授Irus Braveman(专长:法律方面的民族志、人与动物关系等)甚至直接说,在她写自己的book的最后阶段,访谈了澳大利亚的田野对象(当然是线上),甚至让她也改写了书籍的相当内容。而且,她认为remote的好处之一,是更容易在被访者同意的情况下,对外分享自己的民族志。
来自英国Surrey大学、专长于virtual method +科技研究的社会学教授Christine Hine,还分享自己用网络做民族志,直接从“领英”上招募volunteers!她也会泡在一些论坛里找资源找线索。所以,她的研究就包括了网上的育儿讨论是怎么讨论的?智能家居对人有什么影响?Hine教授出过几本书有她的方法有关:
