今天为大家带来2017年5月国际人才英语考试(中级)真题解析和作答样例点评。
国际人才英语考试(中级),简称“国才中级”,用于评价、认定高校学生及社会人士在一般国际交流与工作场合运用英语开展日常工作的能力。“国才中级”由口头沟通和书面沟通两部分组成。每部分包括四项任务。考试采用计算机辅助形式。考试时间约95分钟。
“国才中级”书面沟通部分由四项任务组成,分别是:梳理信息、研判材料、撰写信函和撰写提案。其中,任务四是撰写提案。下文将从任务说明、答题思路、样例评析和作答建议四个方面对“国才中级”书面沟通中的“撰写提案”任务进行解析。
任务说明
该任务要求考生依照给定话题及要点撰写一封150-200词的商务提案,完成任务时间为30分钟。本任务考查考生根据既定情境,以特定身份向指定对象阐明及论述观点的能力。考生应对提案话题进行描述分析,并对提案内容进行论证。考生应使用商务写作风格,提案的角度和语气应符合给定的身份。
现以2017年5月国际人才英语考试(中级)真题为例进行分析:
答题思路
商务领域的报告通常都是任务导向型的。无论每个报告具体涉及怎样的内容,撰写者都需要首先明确以下两点:
一是目标读者是谁。比如,提交给公司或机构内部还是外部人员?是给公司领导还是同事?等等。显然,根据目标读者的不同,撰写者应该以相应的身份、采用适当的语言风格和语气来写作。
二是最终要完成怎样的任务。例如,是单纯提供市场调研信息?还是分析总结员工申诉问题?或是提出改进服务质量的建议?等等。有的报告则是提供信息、分析问题、提出建议几方面兼而有之。因此务必根据任务要求来完成,既不要缺漏,也不要画蛇添足。
比较正式的商务报告一般包括executive summary, introduction, findings (and analysis), conclusion(s), recommendation(s)这几个组成部分,并且用标题和次级标题来提高内容陈述的清晰度和易读性。
但如果是较简单的报告或者像考试中这样字数较少的报告,可以不用严格套用上述格式,只要将各部分要点说清即可。
根据题干描述的商务情境,你是一家国际连锁饭店中国总部的员工,目前饭店在国内两个城市共开有五家饭店。最近你们的饭店在国内主要的用户点评网站和应用(如大众点评网)上的点评星级都出现了下滑。现在需要你调查并找出导致下滑的原因,并就如何提高顾客的就餐体验撰写提案。
因此你是作为下级,就遇到的问题进行分析、提出解决建议,来向上级提供决策参考依据。报告需要覆盖的点包括对问题的简要描述、调查结果与分析、解决方法的建议。
具体来说,开头可以如下文那样引出报告主题和内容提要:
Recently, the trend that our star ratings on several major customer review sites have been declining has drawn our attention. I’ve conducted an investigation based on a detailed study on the customers' review quotes on websites over the past 6 months. This report sums up the main findings of the investigation and proposes several suggestions on how to improve customer dining experience.
对于调查结果和分析部分,考生需要从题干列出的调查发现中提取与报告主题密切相关的要点,并作必要的分析、归纳和总结,而不能只是将列表上的内容直接照搬过来。
针对本样题,该部分可以作如下表述:
According to the investigation, the major complaint is about the service, including complaints about slow service, limited menu options, terrible attitude of servers and high service charges. All these problems reflect our poor management. Another complaint is related to our decoration. Customers think that it doesn’t match our high level. At last, some customers are also dissatisfied with parking difficulties. It takes them too much time to park their cars.
最后,考生要根据以上的调查结果分析和得出的结论,提出实际解决方案。比如:
Therefore, based on my analysis, I am greatly convinced that our company would be greatly promoted if the following measures were taken. To begin with, specific in-service training programs are needed for both our servers and chefs to improve the former' s etiquette and manners as well as the latter’s innovation capability. To cope with complaints about the service charge, a discussion on the rationale of the present charge is necessary and moderate adjustment or discounts could be made or offered based on the discussion. Secondly, since decoration of our lobby has been on the agenda for a while, maybe it’s time to settle it. Thirdly, as we have no more space for parking, I suggest cooperating with other companies in the neighborhood and utilizing their parking lot at some expense.
All in all, let's work hard together to make our restaurant up to international high-quality standard.

样例评析
接下来,我们将分析以下的作答样例,看看它有哪些优点和不足。
Recently, our star ratings on major Chinese customer review sites and apps such as Dianping.com have been declining. After investigation, we have figured out the possible decline reasons.
The main complaints are about the service. The customers often say that the service is slow, the service charges is high and the servers is condescending. Secondly, the menu options is also unsatisfying. The customers say that it's quite limited. Lastly, some customers are complaining that the parking are inconvenient.
For the above three aspects, I recommend the following ways to improve the customer dining experience:
First of all, we should organize a training for the staff in order to strengthen their customer-service. As we all know, customers always come first. No one would like to dine at the place where the service is not satisfactory. What's more, we have to develop more dishes and verify the menu in order to attract the customers more. Last but not least, it is necessary for us to enlarge the parking lot. Nowadays, cars are quite common in every household, and the customers often choose to drive when dining out. Therefore, whether or not it is convenient to part is one of the factors when the customers are choosing the dining place.
Though we have the shortcomings of service mentioned above, some customers also give some positive comments and compliments about our restaurant. They praised by saying that the seasonal ingredients were fresh and the vintage decoration were quite eye-catching. Furthermore, they enjoyed the happy-hour deals a lot.
All in all, concerning the positive part of our service, we have to stick to it. Concerning the negative part, we have to make more contributions to make it better.

总体来看,本文内容紧扣主题,较充分地完成了任务要求,条理较清晰,阐述较充分。但同时也存在少部分照抄题干中词句的现象。在概括调查结果时语言不够简洁,句式不够灵活。语言表达准确性还有欠缺。第五段内容不属于酒店评价下滑的原因,应直接略去,这也反映出考生审题不够清晰。
作答建议
对考生完成“撰写提案”任务的一些建议:
1. 仔细审题,正确理解题目要求,确保不遗漏内容要点;
2. 需要描述题目中介绍的相关背景、调查发现时一定避免直接照抄题干中的词句,而要用自己的语言来陈述;
3. 有时题干中列举的调查结果未必每一项都是造成问题的原因或者主要原因,或者都和需要完成的任务直接相关,因此需要考生留意加以区别。同时考生也要避免仅仅将题干中的列表照单罗列一遍,而应加以分析归纳;
4. 提出的建议要和前面的调查分析有逻辑上的承接关系,要有针对性的提出见解或解决问题,而不能与上文脱节;
5. 在符合题目中的商务情境和作答要求前提下,考生可以根据自身商务知识储备和实践经验,补充题干中没有设定的一些细节。
