#SOS# HUTONG BAR IN DANGER, HELP!!!Soi Baochao

Here's the big fine we got,and it says 50,000 rmb(Absurd huh?)to pay before June 25th.

Here's what's going on:

We had a show on December 19th, 2020. and  yes, we were selling tickets as not much of different as other similar venues. The show was about a few instrumentalists who played and jammed, and a Chinese painter was painting live on the bar screen, it's more like an art jam. And the ticket income is about 1200 rmb...with which we agreed to pay off all the artists' taxi fare , the bar didn't charge any money from it and as all the bands who ever played here before know that we do have a tradition like this.

But unfortunately we got reported to government bureaus from one neighbor who's been nosy and ratty after covid started, and caused us lots of troubles..and here's the damage of most, 50 f*kin grand rmb for something we've done as mentioned above. said the officers that due to the law we need a special license  for live performing events and such...

And yes, we do look up of how to get that license from the gov...and found out it's no way that for any venues here sized under 300 m² to get that license. So basically there's no way to continue doing what we like to do and do best. 

Anyway, back to this big fine of absurdity, I went to the hearing and presented them all my questions and doubts...but they still think we violated some kinda law,and gave me that fine as what they called "minimum"punishment. Considering we just survived from covid lockdown and hooblhas...we really can't afford this.

So, here we are, asking for your help, hopefully that we could survive this. The bottom line is the bar is still going on normally for business, and we would like to offer drink tabs for donaters. The money that you scan and transfer to our account, we'll put the same amount to the bar cashier machine, and next time you come by ,just show us your transfer records,we'll give you that tab with which you can buy drinks and have fun.
