编者的话

为深化我市高中英语课堂教学改革,推动高中英语新教材教学资源共建共享,提高高中英语教学的有效性,进一步推动高中英语教师专业发展,提升课堂教学能力,搭建教师教学经验交流和教学风采展示的平台,提升学生的英语学科核心素养,市教育局教研室英语学科专门组织策划本次高中英语新教材微课资源征集共享活动。本微课资源以《普通高中英语课程标准(2020年版)》为指导,围绕《高中英语》(新人教版)必修教材,以培养学生语言能力、文化意识、思维品质和学习能力等学科核心素养为目标,围绕词汇、语法、阅读、视听、读写融合五大类别进行教学设计,以视频为载体,在一定时间内完整地呈现相应教学内容,满足学生的学习需求。希望借此活动有效推动我市广大高中英语教师积极更新教学理念和教学手段,努力创新课堂教学模式,提升课堂教学实效。同时,借此机会衷心感谢各有关中学英语老师的积极参与和奉献,云浮市中小学英语公众号平台将陆续推送,敬请关注。

教师简介

曾宪冉,2007年7月毕业于河南科技大学外国语学院英语专业,专业八级,高中英语一级教师。先后多次获得优秀班主任、成绩优秀教师,高考工作先进个人,为人师表积极分子等荣誉称号。在《提高高中生英语写作能力的策略研究》中担任实验教师,并发表《浅谈‘用而知学法’促进高中生英语写作》论文一篇,在广东省教育规划课题《高中生英语学科阅读素养培养途径与策略研究》中担任实验教师,并在省级刊物《新课程》上发表《探究多维互动模式在在高中英语阅读教学中运用》论文一篇。

教学内容:How to write a letter of advice

I. The analysis of this lesson

The main content of this section is about “Healthylifesytle and positive attitude”. In this period ,we will focuson guiding the Ss to write a suggestive letter. Writing is a higher stage oflanguage learning. For Senior 1 Ss, writing a short passage is a big challenge,which helps test the students' comprehensive language ability. Due to this, weshould schedule a gradual guiding process in the period. As a guider, I willtry to inspire the students to make every effort to recall what they have learned.At the same time, to practise writing is also important. Finally, to assign asimilar writing task for the students to complete after class to furtherconsolidate what we have learned in class.

II.Teaching goals

1. Knowledge objects:

(1)Getthe students to know what is a good writing

(2)Getthe students to know how to write a suggestive letter

2. Ability objects:(The ability objects of learning this letter are to…)

(1)Developthe students’ writing ability.

(2)Getthe students to learn to to give advice in English in a logical way .

III.Teaching Important Points and Teaching Difficult Points

Teaching Important Points:

Develop students’writing ability by helping the Ssto get familiar with the writing process of a suggestive letter.

Teaching Difficult Points:

Enable the Ss to figure out how to offersuggestions, the framework of a suggestive letter, how to polish the sentencesin a composition, how to use some linking words .

IV. Teaching Procedures

Step1Greetings

Greet thewhole class so that they get full preparations for the period.

Step 2 Leadin

Show Ss somepictures to motivate Ss to get interested in the class. And lead in the topicof the class

Step3 Readthe Letter and answer questions

To find outthe main problems for Chen Lei according to the letter

Step4.Help the Ss figure out the framework of a letter of advice and rules of putting forward advice

1.Present acomposition on the screen to help the Ss to recall and tell the framework of aletter offering advice. At the same time, figure out Body is the main part .Ifnecessary, give them some aid.


2.Summarizethe useful expressions, the framework and golden rules for putting forwardadvice so that the Ss can bear them in their mind for the sake of using them inthe latter process.

Step5. Ask Ss to write a letter to Eric, Xu Ting or Min Ho.

Give Ss tenMinutes to write in Groups. Invite Ss to make comments

Step6.Summary

Summarize the writing skills learned in this period.

Step7.Homework

教学反思

本节课由读写结合四个活动组成,活动主题是“写一封建议信”(Writea letter of advice)。按照“文本内容理解”——文本结构和语言特点分析——写作情景设置——完成写作任务——展示写作成果”的顺序展开。活动1属于语言输入阶段,学生阅读建议信,并就信中所提建议进行讨论。活动2属于文本结构和语言特点分析。活动3属于语言输出阶段,即写作部分,呈现了整个写作过程。活动4属于作品展示阶段,也属于情感态度价值观升华阶段。这些活动旨在让学生能够体会到互相沟通、真诚相助的重要性,并能对照反思自己的行为,解决现实生活中的问题。在看了自己的课堂实录后,再结合上课中自己的感受,对本节课进行反思,总觉得自己在教学上还存在很多不足,具体如下:第一,备课要预设一些课堂中可能出现的情景。对一些教学重点和难点,应在课前做出充分的准备和尽可能多的预案。这样才可能保证课堂教学进行的顺畅,学生的学习效果才能得到保障。第二,课堂上要对学生的反应给予正面的、及时的反馈,充分调动学生参与课堂实录的积极性,激发学生的学习兴趣。第三,上课的时候口头语太多,语言组织不够好,表达不够清晰,语速时快时慢。所以在今后的上课中要提升自己的语言表达能力,力求做到言简意赅,表达标准,指令清晰。   第四,课堂时间把握得不是很好。所以应该在课堂设计时,应该精准分配好时间,反复练习,精益求精。总之,要潜心研究,用心准备,相信通过本次微课制作,对今后的教学成长和新媒介手段教学大有益处。

教师简介

何家怡,本科毕业于岭南师范学院英语专业,研究生毕业于英国爱丁堡大学对外英语教学专业。2020年开始参加工作,目前从事高中英语教学和班主任工作。

教学理念:注重通过体验、实践、讨论、合作和探究等方式鼓励学生学英语。

Teaching aims

I Identify some commonly-confused words and structures and use them properly.

II Identify the noun phrases, adjective phrases and adverb phrases in apassage, and state their functions.

III Reflect what have been learned in this unit.

IV Set up “A student club”with related details.

 

Analysis of teaching materials

This section includes two parts. The first part is Assessing Your Progress, which requires students to finish the multiple choices of words and to find out the noun phrases, adjective phrases and adverb phrases in a passage and state their functions. In this part, students are also expected to reflect the learning stills and assess the topic and content in this unit by answering several questions. The second part is Object, in which students have to apply what theyhave learned to practice. Students set up a student club and hopefully they canimprove the communication and cooperation skills. There are some activities designed to help students explore the topics, present their ideas with teacher’s guidance. At last, they are required to logically make anintroduction for their student clubs with fertile imagination and creativity.

 

Difficult and focal points

I Focal points: identify the three types of phrases and state theirfunctions; summarize and reflect what they have learned in this unit; explorethe topic of this unit and the problems they came across in learning.

II Difficult points: identify some key words and phrases that are easily confused; creatively present ideas when designing and introducing the clubs.

教学反思

本节课由两部分组成。第一部分是语言知识检测本单元词汇、语法知识的掌握情况和单元内容评价和自我反思。第二部分是完成项目活动,发挥创造性思维,深层次探讨校园社团的意义,并具备创建社团的能力。以下教者就各教学环节作出教学反思。

 

在assessingyour progress里,活动一是让学生从给出的课标词及其近义词中选出最恰当的词完成句子,是为了检测学生是否能够正确运用本单元所学的课标词。但练习的形式过于单一,缺少词汇的拓展,缺少情景的设计,很难让学生在情景中学会运用单词。而且活动一只有八道题,八组单词并不能涵盖整个单元的重点单词。但在评讲过程中,教师有着重回顾每个单词的重点知识和考点以及结合情景分析词汇用法, 能够让学生更深刻理解易混词。

 

活动二是让学生画出文本中的名词短语、形容词短语及副词短语,并说明其功能,是为了检测学生对单元语法知识的掌握情况。学生在短时间内判断出这三种短语,稍有难度,但在核对答案过程中,教师有让学生对比短语和其中心词,通过对比,学生能轻易发现短语的作用。除了检测语法的掌握情况,教师还关注文本的语篇意义建构,考察学生对于文本的理解。同时联合生活实际情况,让学生反思自己的学习态度,在教学中渗透人生观、价值观的教育。

 

在reflecting部分,教师展现本单元在听说读写方面的内容,让学生充分了解本单元的知识框架,用批判性思维看待单元内容,反思自己的语言运用能力。但是教师在课堂上由于时间的限制,没有提供充足的机会让学生充分反馈自己的学习情况来掌握学情,没有与同伴探讨自己在本单元存在的问题以及将来如何改善学习策略,不利于学生提高自己的元认知学习策略意识。同时没有向学生传达自我反思的重要性,也没有充分调动学生的主观能动性,能预测到课后探讨的效果作用不大。

 

project部分,包括语言输入和输出。首先教师通过大量图片激活学生的背景知识,创设语言情景,让学生明确任务,根据自身情况考虑去“建立一个学生社团”,让学生充分探讨并找到自己的兴趣点,发挥创造性思维。教师还通过举例子去引导学生发现每个任务的要点。这部分内容要求小组合作完成,但教师没有激发学生的合作意识,没有提醒学生注意分工。教师给予学生作品点评的时间较少。
