开学第一天，久违的阳光给校园带来了些生气。我们为学生安排了一场“别开生面”的开学典礼，三位在其专业领域卓有成就的嘉宾开启新学期第一课，和我们分享成长的故事，生命的意义。
艺术行囊
IN ART WE TRAVEL
在故事开始之前，我们先闭上眼睛，思考一些小问题：
我们是谁？
我们想要什么？
什么是“热爱”呢？
除了“热爱”，我们还需要什么呢？
中山大学美学博士肖伊谷，中法文化艺术交流使者。她从小学习音乐舞蹈，在美国南卡罗来纳大学学习电影与戏剧表演，是位有灵性的90后。她用温柔的语调，输送出强而有力的话语，以“将生命的热情点燃”为题，从“跳出舒适圈”，“艺术的视角和审美的心胸”，”找到自己的热爱，付诸努力，享受过程“三个方面分享了她的热爱。
“读万卷书，行万里路”。有坚定的信念，有丰富的热爱，我们的青春才不虚此行，我们的生命才光芒熠熠。学无止境，知识渊博，这正和佛山诺德安达14项学习者素养的理念相呼应，跳出自己的舒适区，我们都是人生冒险家。

IN LIFE JOURNEY
幽默风趣的他，引得台下观众哄堂大笑。他是我校家长之一，Mr. James XIE。28年前，他是广西首位获全额奖学金的高中生，前往美国肯塔基大学攻读经济学博士。如今，他的业务范围涵盖澳大利亚、新加坡、迪拜、苏黎世和西班牙。
他以“好奇，好学，充满激情” 为主题，为佛山诺德安达学子上了一节满满正能量的课。他遇见的人，看到的风景，求学的路，都是他人生旅程里的美好。他的妹妹于1998年获总统教育奖，克林顿总给她的贺信中有这样一句话：“鼓励你用好学，并成为一名终身学习者。如能做到，这将会开阔你的思路，发现新世界。”
活到老，学到老
NEVER TOO LATE TO LEARN
西装革履，容光焕发，身披一条大红色围巾的老人，慈祥和蔼地向我们娓娓道来。他就是83岁高龄的特级教师——李新亚爷爷。2014年至今申请专利182个，其中10个实用新型专利和58个发明专利已授权。李新亚爷爷介绍了他的两项专利，“宠物狗拉车套具”和“可伸缩可更换密封件的轨道舱”的发明过程。
李爷爷在他60多岁时，才从零开始学习用电脑打字，用电脑画图，他的第一课是告诉同学们：发明创造并不难，只要敢于想象，敢于动手。时刻保持好奇，勤于思考，心怀世界，这就是保持创造力的秘诀，你学会了吗？

MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK
学生代表10年级 Suri同学分享了她在寒假期间参加模拟联合国做的项目，身为“法官”的她选择与来自不同国家和学校的学生一起完成可持续发展目标之 “教育质量”专项的研究，突破国度，突破语言。
本学期，Suri同学也将开设“支持可持续发展”社团，招募更多学生参与此项目，为某些地区改善教学质量贡献自己的一份力量。创立学生社团是锻炼领导力和自信心很好的平台，也是申请海外大学的加分项之一。相互合作的基础，铸造了成功的基调，引领他们走向”合作共赢“的道路。
真是后生可畏，一代更比一代强。
种子需要破土发芽才可以感受大自然的春夏秋冬，虫儿需要破茧化蝶才可以看到五彩斑斓的世界，雏鸟需要破壳才可以翱翔于蔚蓝的天际。我们总需要突破自己才可以走向更广阔的天地。每一位老师向我们佛山诺德安达传授了多样的人生法宝，愿佛山诺德安达的学子也可以勇于追求自己的热爱，并为之付出努力，在广阔的天地自由翱翔，走向自己的美丽人生。
人生，是一场充满创意的旅行，太多未知的美，等待我们探索。现在，出发吧。

BECOME WONDERFUL
February is the begining of the spring, but also the begining of second semester. It’s a good time for our students to come back to school and start a new journey.
We were lucky to have the sunshine in the first school day of second semester. We arranged a special ceromony for our students and invited three distinguished guests who have achieved their achievenments in their professional fields to deliver the first lesson in this new semester. They shared their stories with us.

IN ART WE TRAVEL
Before we start the story, please close your eyes and think about some questions:
Who are we?
What do we want?
What is your passion?
Except for passion,what do we need in our life?
Dr. Yigu XIAO, an art-lover who obtained a PhD of Aesthetics from Sun Yat-Sen University, has learnt music and dance since childhood and studied movies and drama performences in University of South Carolina. Dr. XIAO is an intelligent post-90s. She gave a powerful speech themed as “Light the fire of life”. She shared her passion by three aspects : “Step out of your comfort zone” “Artistic perspective and aesthetic mind”and”find your passion, put in the effort and enjoy the process.”
Read a thousand of books and travel thousand of miles”. With strong belief and abundant passion, we may take on a worthy journey of youth and make our lives shine. She never stops learning and always stays knowledgable, which reflects the NAS Foshan learner attributes. As she suggested, we are all adventurers of life as long as we get out of the comfort zone.

IN LIFE JOURNEY
With a great sense of humor, he talked and made the audiences laugh really hard. Mr. James XIE is a parent in our school. Twenty eight years ago, he was the first high school student in Guangxi Province who acquired the full scholarship and studied abroad in the USA. In addition, he received full scholarship from University of Kentucky when he was pursuing a Phd in Economics. Today his business stretches all over Australia, Singapore, Dubai, Zurich and Spain.
With “Always be curious, hungry and passionate”as the theme, he showed his absolute positive energy to our students. To Mr. XIE, the people he met, the views he enjoyed and the journeys of study are the parts of his sweet memories. “I encourage you to make the most of your education and become a lifelong learner. By doing so, you can broaden your world, and discover new ideas.”. This is an excerpt from a congratulatory letter from President Cliton to Mr. XIE's sister on Preisdential Award for Education in 1998.

NEVER TOO LATE TO LEARN
A radiant senior with the suit and red scarf shared with us his wonderful journey tenderly. Mr. Xinya LI is an 83-year-old senior teacher. He has granted 182 patents since 2014, among which are 10 utility model patents and 58 invention patents. Mr. LI introduced his two patents to us -- “the harness of the dog pull a cart” and “telescopic replaceable seals for the orbital module.”
Mr. LI started to learn how to type and draw with computer when he was over 60 years old. His experience told us that invention is not difficult as long as you are brave to imagine and take action. We should always stay curious, think more and care more about the world, and that would be the secret to stay creative.

MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK
G10 student Suri shared her experience of a winter project in MUN. In the project, she worked with students from different countries and schools on education quality, which is one of UN’s sustainable development goals.
This semester, Suri will set up a student club to support sustainable development, recruit more students to participate in this project and devote herself to teaching quality improvement in several regions. Establishing a student club is a great way to practice the leadership skills and improve confidence, which gives students advantages when applying to overseas universities. Their cooperation sets the base of sucess and leads them to persue the “win-win cooperation”.
The seeds need to germinate to feel the nature ,the worms need to break out of their cocoons to see the wild, the birds need to get out of the eggshells before they can fly in the blue sky. We need to challenge ourselves to achieve the brighter future. Each teacher showed us his or her ways to success. May we persue what we want bravely and put efforts in our goals to achieve a successful life.
Life is a creative journey with lots of unkown and waits for us to explore.
