3月28日，国家网信办指导组织“抖音”“快手”“火山小视频”等短视频平台试点上线青少年防沉迷系统（anti-addiction system），总结试点经验和完善管理制度后，将于今年 6 月在全国主要的短视频平台全面推广上线青少年防沉迷系统。

Fast-growing Chinese short video platforms such as Douyin, Kuaishou and Huoshan are rolling out a "teenager mode", an in-app restrictive feature, at the request of the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) to address social media addiction among teenagers. 

这是国内短视频平台第一次统一上线防沉迷系统。

据报道，此次上线试运行的“青少年防沉迷系统”内置于短视频应用中，用户每日首次启动应用时，系统将进行弹窗提示，引导家长及青少年选择“青少年模式”（teen mode）。 

用户进入“青少年模式”后，将会有如下限制：

无法进行打赏（tipping）、充值（top up）、提现（cash out）、直播（livestreaming）等行为。

每日累计使用时长不能超过40分钟，晚上10点至早上6点禁止使用，只有监护人输入密码才能开启。

The mode, once enabled, will limit the number of screen hours for kids to 40 minutes per day, and prohibit them from accessing the apps from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. as well as other features, including adding or withdrawing money from their accounts or starting a live stream.

此外，在内容设定上，上述短视频平台针对青少年用户展现的多为教育益智、科普、休闲等寓教于乐的内容。

同时，系统还将试点通过地理位置判定（location data）、用户行为分析（behavioral analysis）等技术手段筛选甄别农村地区留守儿童（left-behind children）用户，并自动切换到“青少年模式”（turn on teen mode automatically）。

Teenager mode has been applauded on Chinese social media, with many people agreeing that short video apps have become too addictive. 

“青少年模式”得到了广大网友的认可，很多人一致认为短视频app非常容易玩上瘾。

根据3月26日发布的 《2018年全国未成年人互联网使用情况研究报告》，截至2018年12月，我国短视频用户规模达6.48亿，其中大部分为青少年用户。此外，我国未成年网民规模达1.69亿，未成年人的互联网普及率达到93.7%。

有网友们表示，不光未成年人需要防沉迷系统，成年人也非常需要。

"Is there a feature like this for senior citizens?" One Weibo user asked in a popular comment. “I need to get one for my mom.”

有网友在一条微博热评下面留言问道：“请问有没有老年人模式呀？我得给我妈设置一个。”

▌此前曾出台措施防止未成年人沉迷网络游戏

去年8月底，教育部等八部委联合发布《综合防控儿童青少年近视实施方案》。其中国家新闻出版署提出要实施网络游戏总量调控（curb the number of new online games available to children），采取措施限制未成年人使用时间（take new measures to limit their time on games）。

2018年9月，腾讯宣布，对《王者荣耀》启动最严格的实名策略（real-name registration），接入公安权威数据平台进行校验，并将未成年人账号纳入防沉迷系统中。
