在英留学生：店铺都关了，我什么时候才能再吃到心爱的小卷饼？丨海外连线

新冠肺炎疫情在全球蔓延，已经波及180多个国家和地区。CD君联系了在海外的朋友们，了解他们的近况，也请他们通过视频报个平安，谈谈观察到的周围变化。本期邀请到的是正在英国读书的留学生年糕。
年糕是英国布里斯托大学教育专业硕士在读生。从去年年初开始，她就在边工作边准备出国读书，九月终于成功申请到了梦想的offer，开启了在英国的求学生涯。

新冠疫情在中国暴发的时候，她和许多海外学子一样，每天刷着新闻，“觉得很痛心，常常读着新闻就哭了”。年糕说，因为父母年纪大了，她特别担心，那时候天天给父母打视频电话叮嘱。
“当天晚上就有人组建了留守群和疫情回国群”
3月1日，深圳新增一例由英国途径香港的输入病例，患者在英国布里斯托工作，她意识到这场疫情已经悄悄蔓延至了身边。3月12日，英国首相鲍里斯·约翰逊正式宣布英国进入抗疫第二阶段，除了建议所有出现症状的人在家隔离七天外，还停止了对出现轻症人员的检测。
On March 1, Shenzhen had one imported case from the UK. The patient had transited in Hong Kong before returning to Shenzhen. The patient had worked in Bristol, UK. Nian Gao realized that this pandemic had silently came over to her side of the world. On March 12, the UK's Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that the UK had entered the second phase of containment. He suggested that people with symptoms stay at home, and tests for mild patients to be put to a stop.
“从那天起，周围就有焦虑情绪了。也是那天，大家开始大范围地买机票回国，当天晚上就有人组建了留守群和疫情回国群，”年糕说。

3月21日上午，英国确诊人数达5018人，233人因感染新冠病毒去世。3月23日晚，鲍里斯·约翰逊发表电视致辞，再次要求民众留在家中，并宣布了极为严格的封锁政策，包括关闭所有非必要的商铺、禁止除葬礼之外的一切社交活动以及警方有权执行封锁政策，包括开罚单。
As of 9 am on March 21, the UK had 5,018 confirmed positive cases, and 233 patients had died. On March 23, Johnson delivered a speech on television, asking people to stay at home. He also announced a strict lockdown, including the shutdown of all non-essential stores and public places, and called off all social events except for funerals. If any one does not follow the rules, the police have the right to enforce the law, such as giving a fine.
“感觉是英国人民展示他们口味的时候了”
考虑到长途飞行隐患多，年糕选择继续留在英国。除了购买必要的生活用品，大部分时间她都待在房间里。封锁政策下达的第一周，她在出门买东西的途中用视频记录了布里斯托的变化。

平时人来人往的街道行人寥寥无几，菜市场、二手市场、购物商场等等都关闭了。路过菜市场时，美食爱好者年糕不禁怀念起常在这里买的超好吃的卷饼。

好在她要去的连锁超市玛莎还开着，这里人不是很多，货物都比较充足。年糕成功买到了自己想要的蔬菜水果和肉：“就是鸡肉的位置有点空”。最缺的是面粉，年糕说她跑了几家店，一袋也没买到，而罐头的货架也有点空，“感觉是英国人民展示他们口味的时候了”。
Luckily, Marks & Spencer is still open without crowds and the stores are well stocked. Nian Gao bought the vegetables, fruits and meat that she wanted. But she found that there was not much chicken left. Common staples like flour are completely sold out. Nian Gao could not find any flour despite going to several supermarkets. There were some canned goods that were out of stock. She felt that the tastes of the British people had been revealed.
“越来越多的非亚裔面孔也戴上了口罩”
那么大家都关心的消毒和清洁用品供应情况又如何呢？在Poundland一磅店，年糕发现这里的清洁用品和洗手液库存非常充足，但一周前这两样还非常缺货。在药妆店铺Boots，酒精和消毒剂都还有，退烧药的货架则缺货严重。
走在路上，能看到骑马巡逻的警察。英国人依然爱晒太阳，但不再聚集扎堆，每个椅子上几乎只坐了一个人。年糕还观察到，越来越多的非亚裔面孔开始带上了口罩，或用围巾衣物等遮挡口鼻。
While she was out walking on the streets, she could see police patrolling. The British are fond of sunshine, but they are keeping their distance between one other, with only one person on each bench. She also noticed that more and more people who are not Asians wearing masks or covering their mouths and noses with scarves or clothes.
“这和几天之前的状况完全不一样，我感觉他们可能意识到了事态的严重性。” 事实上，就在年糕把视频传给CD君的这天，英国首相鲍里斯也确诊了新冠肺炎。
"This is completely different than it was a few days ago," she said. "Maybe people have realized the seriousness of the situation." In fact, the day Nian Gao transferred the video to Mr CD, Johnson had tested positive for the coronavirus.
留在英国的年糕目前的主要任务还是学业，所有的课堂授课都变成了网课，论文导师也和学生线上沟通。大家一边做好防疫，一边继续着自己的生活，小心翼翼等待着疫情出现转机。
Currently, Nian Gao is focused on her school work. All classes have been switched to online courses, and teachers also communicate with their students online. They are continuing on with their lives while taking precautions against the virus, waiting for the outbreak to slow down.
“鲍里斯说他们有信心在十二周内扭转疫情。等到那个时候，就是英国最最最美好的夏天了。希望我们可以像以往一样，街上有熙熙攘攘的人群，我们还能坐在河港边、草坪上，不用担心被感染，也不用再担心可能会失去我们爱的人。”
"Boris said they are confident to contain the outbreak in 12 weeks. By then, it'll be the best summer time in Britain," Nian Gao said. "I hope things will go back to normal with bustling crowds on the streets. We can enjoy ourselves while sitting on the lawn by the harbor without having to worry about being infected or losing our loved ones."
