美国舰长确诊！此前因航母疫情求援遭解职
据《纽约时报》当地时间4月5日报道，此前被解职的美国海军“罗斯福”号航母舰长克罗泽尔（Brett Crozier）确诊感染新冠肺炎病毒。克罗泽尔曾发出警告要求海军采取行动保护舰上官兵。
The Navy captain removed from command of the USS Theodore Roosevelt last week after warning that action was needed to save the lives of his crew from a coronavirus outbreak has tested positive for the virus, according to The New York Times on Sunday.

报道称，克罗泽尔在4月2日被解职之前就已出现症状，目前在关岛美国海军基地隔离。
Capt. Brett Crozier began exhibiting symptoms before he was removed from the warship on Thursday, the Times reported, citing two Naval Academy classmates of Crozier's who are close to him and his family.
由于舰上多人感染新冠病毒，克罗泽尔曾写信向海军求援，最终“罗斯福”号得以停靠关岛，舰上人员分批接受检测。
In a memo sent earlier last week, Crozier pleaded with Navy leaders that "decisive action is required" to remove a majority of the ship's personnel and isolate them for two weeks. The letter was published in the San Francisco Chronicle on Tuesday.
上周早些时候，克罗泽尔曾写备忘录给海军领导，请求他们做出“果断决策”，对舰上大部分人员隔离两周。《旧金山纪事报》3月31日刊登了这封信。

代理海军部长莫德利（Thomas Modly）称，将克罗泽尔撤职，是因为对其领导航母的能力失去信心。
Acting Secretary of the Navy Thomas Modly said Crozier was dismissed because he lost confidence in the captain’s ability to command the ship.
5日，美国国防部长埃斯珀（Mark Esper）在接受美国有线电视新闻网（CNN）采访时表示，他支持将克罗泽尔解职的决定：
“I think acting Secretary Modly made a very tough decision, a decision that I support. It was based on his view that he had lost faith and confidence in the captain, based on his actions. It was supported by Navy leadership.”
“我认为代理部长莫德利做出了一个非常困难的决定，但我支持这一决定。做出这一决定的原因是，鉴于这位舰长的行动，莫德利已对其失去信心。海军领导层都支持这一决定。”

埃斯珀确认“罗斯福”航母上目前超过一半的官兵已经接受了新冠肺炎病毒检测，155名水手呈阳性。
He added that there were 155 coronavirus cases among the sailors of the Theodore Roosevelt and that more than half the ship’s crew had been tested.
埃斯珀表示，由于“罗斯福”号是核动力航母，设备敏感且装载武器，既要处理需要治疗的军人，也要保证航母处于就绪状态以防万一。他说，克罗泽尔的信件“故事不是真的”，一旦海军确认首例新冠肺炎，领导层就将提供物资及测试工具。埃斯珀重申对海军领导层的信心。
据报道，“罗斯福”号新的舰长将很快被任命。
4月2日，克罗泽尔因其关于“罗斯福”号航母上确诊案例增多引发担忧的备忘录被广泛传播，而被美国海军领导层批判为“判断力极差”（poor judgment），并遭解职。
在克罗泽尔离开“罗斯福”号时，大批船员自愿聚集在甲板上向其送别，高呼“Captain Crozier”：
