Lionel Messi thrilled the more than 50,000 spectators at Workers' Stadium on Thursday night by scoring the first goal only 81 seconds after the match kicked off. German Pezzella scored Argentina's second goal, at 68 minutes, to secure the team's 2-0 victory in the friendly match against Australia.
Thursday's game was the first time the Argentine squad have played a match in a foreign country since winning the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year.

“这一次阿根廷队来到中国可以说是梦想成真，这场比赛有重要的意义。”
"It's a dream come true for many fans that Argentina's national team could come to China," Sabino Vaca Narvaja, Argentina's ambassador to China, told China Central Television.
据牛望道大使介绍，这次友谊赛是阿根廷队世界杯夺冠后首次在海外比赛，第一站选择了北京展示了阿根廷队的善意，这也代表了阿根廷对中国的友善。
“很多人在街上陪伴我们的国家队，在酒店、在机场、在每一处，双方的友好之情令我吃惊，这份情谊来自阿根廷队、也来自两国人民之间。”牛望道感谢中国球迷的支持，他说，“体育是我们国家最好的大使，尤其是足球”，“我们无论在哪里都能感受到这种热爱，今天我们正在感受中国对阿根廷足球的热情。”
