        工作室画廊很高兴宣布我们将举办第三次工作室开放日－艺术家创作分享活动。这次将与我们分享工作的是来墨西哥的艺术家伊丽莎白.罗斯 (Elizabeth Ross)，此次她不仅要分享自己的创作，更将介绍一批她近年来一直研究和关注的墨西哥当代艺术家的影像创作。

        墨西哥当代艺术的发展从来也不是世界关注的主流，此次交流的目的是希望通过墨西哥当代女性艺术家的创作和生活状态让更多人了解墨西哥当代艺术环境、社会、文化的现状。此外，作为策展人罗斯也希望借此建立一个中国与墨西哥之间的知识桥梁，更多地推动两国艺术家之间的创作交流，本次活动将于2018年4月14日 (周六) 举行。上海之行结束之后，罗斯将赴北京中央美术学院进行这一主题的访问和交流。

Studio Gallery Shanghai is pleased to announce our third OPEN STUDIO event. This time our presenting artist Elizabeth Ross will give us a presentation not only about her own work, but also introduce a group of female contemporary artists in Mexico she has been researching and studying in recent years.

The development of contemporary art in Mexico has never been the mainstream of the world's attention. This talk aims to give a perspective of what contemporary Mexican Women Artists have been producing and how the Mexican art world and society has been enriched by their active presence. Also, it aims to build a knowledge bridge between Mexican and Chinese artists. This event will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018. After the trip in Shanghai, Ross will visit and give her talk at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), Beijing.

关于主讲人｜About The Speaker

伊丽莎白. 罗斯｜Elizabeth Ross

伊丽莎白. 罗斯是艺术家、策展人、国际记者，她的先锋社会文化活动涵盖艺术、研究、新闻与社会的发展。作为艺术家，她已有超过25年的工作经验，雕塑（陶瓷）是其艺术创作最早的阶段。

从2003起，她决定将她的创作拓展到跟多的公共空间（如开放的街道、大地艺术等），让艺术能真正与社会和大众发生联系。同时她也开始运用影像、行为、装置等新的创作形式。2008年以来，她致力于对于移民现象和穿越于不同文化地域的女性的生存状态。她近年的研究项目获得了墨西哥SNCA大奖，并称为SNCA成员之一。（SNCA是墨西哥学术研究机构）

作为学者，她曾受邀在墨西哥、德国、威尔士、西班牙的许多大学及美术馆进行讲座。在此期间，她也为多家专业杂志写作，并出版过两本个人书籍。

Elizabeth Ross is an artist, art producer, socio-cultural agent, curator, and journalist with an international presence with more than 25 years of practice. She has pioneered social cultural processes involving art, research, journalism and community development, persistently searching for the intersection between art, environment, memory and society. She has made and shown her work in streets, parks, plazas, volcanoes, museums, universities and culture centers, in open and closed spaces in different countries of the American Continent, Europe, Asia and Australia. 

She has been awarded with several grants, among then a HANBAN Understand China funding (2016), and enjoyed some nurturing art residencies in Spain, France, Norway, Austria, Germany, Wales, Turkey, Macedonia, Canada, Cuba and New York. She has offered lectures on Contemporary Art and Ceramic Art in several Museums and Universities in Europe, Mexico, Uruguay and China. Currently her body of art work explores identity, borders, age, genre and migration and her curatorial focus lies in the art made by Chinese females, directing the Chinese Women Artists Video Art Festival in Mexico). Mexico. She’s a honorary member of the SNCA (National Roster of Creators, Mexcio).
