The Zhejiang University-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute (the ZJU-UIUC Institute, ZJUI) is a cooperatively-run engineering college on the Zhejiang University (ZJU) International Campus in Haining, China. It is officially approved by the Ministry of Education, China in February 2016. By introducing top engineering curricula and resources from UIUC, complemented with contributions from counterpart colleges and departments from ZJU, ZJUI provides a world-class engineering education. Committed to educating innovators in engineering and leaders of tomorrow, a global engineering education system featuring interdisciplinary convergence has been established in ZJUI.

Founded in 1897, Zhejiang University is one of China's oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education. Laying claim to several areas of research strength, ZJU currently ranks among the top three universities on the Chinese mainland and within the top 100 in the Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings and QS World University Rankings. Eighteen disciplines of ZJU have been selected for China’s “Double First-class” Initiative (3rd in China) and 39 disciplines graded A in the recent national assessment (1st in China). The engineering programs of Zhejiang University ranked 10 th in the World Best Global Universities Rankings published by US News & World Report, 2023. ZJU has 25 Members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 25 Members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Founded in 1867, the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (UIUC) is a public research intensive university in the U.S. It is a founding member of the Big Ten Conference and a member of the Association of American Universities. The university is considered to be a "Public Ivy" institution. Illinois is a global leader for engineering education and research, its undergraduate engineering programs has a overall ranking of 7th in the U.S. by the US News & World Report, 2023.  There have been 24 Nobel Laureates and 28 Pulitzer Prize Winners from UIUC faculty and alumni.

STEP 1：

Create an account, fill in all the required informations in the application system.

STEP 2：

Submit required materials in the system:

Required Materials 

1. An admission essay

2. High school transcripts

3. Transcripts of recognized tests such as ACT or SAT or IB or A-level from the examining authority

4. Transcripts of recognized english tests such as TOEFL or IELTS if your native language is not English

Application Deadline

Undergraduate students should plan to apply by March 31st for full consideration.
